Nice surprise under the platane trees in the town center. Attractive daily lunch. Nice house wine. Friendly and efficient service.

Based on current reviews, I was expecting a lot less. The service was excellent. The salade roquefort was lovely (including the yummy light dressing). The St. Jacques à la planxa were tasty. The piperade of aubergine/poivrons it was served with was excellent.

The tarte tatin crust was soggy, though. The allongée was average. For these last two reasons, and also because I am sort of wondering about the St. Jacques (I didn't taste/feel the telltale grittiness in the interior that is the hallmark of real scallops, as opposed to white fish cutouts), I gave it a "very good" instead of an excellent.

Overall - -- I will definitely come back here. The staff and locale make it totally worth it. You should give it a try, too!

Old of the pricier restaurants in town but both good and bad experiences here. Starters all went down well and nicely presented. Main course steak was very good, salads were very mediocre and disappointing. Puddings all went down well. Local vin de pays was excellent value. Main gripe was food was very slow to arrive due, it seemed, to slow preparation in the kitchen rather than poor sevice. All told, it was OK but substance did not match presentation or price.

I've been there a few times & it's always great food, which is very well presented, good wine, friendly staff & not badly priced- what more could you ask for?

The food is stunning & served beautifully.

The staff are welcoming and efficient.

Always feels so much more special than the other local restaurants, we are returning customers & highly recommend.
