We stayed her for 2 nights in September and had a great time. It is right by the beautiful sandy beach, but also has two outdoor pools for when its too hot on the beach! The room was spacious, clean and light but with full shutters for the early morning sun! All the staff we met were friendly and helpful despite our limited French.

Two things to note that didn't affect us as they were closed in September but might affect your choice (one way or the other!), are that it is quite near the Aqualand centre and the Isle de Loisir with fairground rides. It was also a good 15 minutes (pleasant) walk for a greater selection of restaurants and bars at the main resort area around the port.

Room Tip: Pool/sea view rooms also overlook the outside bar area so could be noisy, ours overlooked the road to the beach and was fine, and we could actually see the sea over the rooftops!

Helpful, friendly staff - Car Par opposite hotel would probably get full in high season.
The room had plenty of storage space - was well lit and had balcony - very good value.
Only problem was plastic undersheet on bed which did not contribute to a good nights sleep - otherwise bed comfortable and larger than most French doubles

Nice staff, good location on the beach, but small selection of good restaurants nearby.
The hotel (both hotel rooms and common areas) is a bit worn, but the spa was new and appealing. Simple breakfast with limited choice of food. No free internet connection, and expensive to connect.

This is one of the few hotel in cap D'Agde with direct acces to the beach. It is located a very pleasant 25 minute walk along the waterfront from the main cap D'Agde strip. There is also a boat service from around the corner near Aqualand into the centre of town, however the last departure is at about 7 PM.
Generally the hotel is pleasnat and well run, although inJuly I thought it a bit pricey for the standard of the rooms. The rooms are relatively large and airy with a large terrace but the rooms on the top (3rd) floor are all family rooms with 4 beds so if you get a room under a family with small children you can forget a siesta or indeed a lie in.
The hotel has its own stretch of beach but charges guests 20 euros a day for sun beds and a parasol. The beach bar has live entertainment most evenings.
The hotel also has two pools , one of which is heated.
The breakfast was pretty good but a bit limited. The hotel restaurant offered 3 course dinner for 25 euros compared to about 16 euros in the town centre, although to be honest the hotel menu looked a bit more up market. Free parking is available alongside the hotel.

While this hotel has 3 stars, it could well have 4. Rooms are spacious enough, with nice balconies overlooking either the sea or the pool (corner rooms have whole terraces). Staff was very helpful. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. And then, of course, there is the beach.

The best feature of Capao is that you can walk straight to the beach. The beach is awesome! It is large enough to not be overcrowded, and the sand is very nice; if you like walking on the beach, you will be very satisfied here, as you can walk for miles and miles (just bring some shoes with you as some parts of the beach have lots of seashells). The beach has a restaurant and a bar.

Capao is not in the most "happening" part of Cap D'Agde, but it is only a short ride from there, and is in a much more quiet neighborhood. If you are there, make sure to spend at least one evening in Agde nearby - it's a very authentic old town (though it has seen better times). Seafood by the river is inexpensive and delicious.

Capao is not that expensive to begin with, and there are a couple of extra ways you save money. One is that except for July and August, the transats and parasols are free for hotel guests. The other is that since Capao is in a residential neighborhood, you can buy food at a little store just across the street (the hotel says you can't eat in the room, but we didn't have any problems; we even stored leftovers in the mini-bar, and nobody said anything). Internet is available in the lobby, but is not free.
