We thoroughly enjoyed this tiny restaurant in the heart of Argeles Village. The food was superb, the hostess charming and helpful (she spoke fluent English) and the general ambience was what one has come to expect from this type of french restaurant. We dined there twice and each time found the food and service all that one could desire. The fresh anchovy starter sitting on a tomato and aubergine puree was stunning as was the rolled, stuffed Pork served with an interesting array of small vegetables. The chocolate dessert was to die for and we hope this will still be on the menu in 2013. This is a relatively new restaurant which I am sure will go from strength to strength. Wines were very good and overall we felt The Bartavelle was very reasonably priced.
