We have just returned from a week in this beautiful property. We were met by Severine, the friendly housekeeper, who showed us around the house. It contains everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The building itself just oozes authentic period charm and character, with the stone floors, curved ceilings downstairs and timbered ceilings upstairs. The wi fi connection is good and we were delighted to find English speaking channels on the satellite TV. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evening in the peace and quiet. There is a private and secluded pool 50m away from the house which was a pleasure to use. There were numerous chairs and sun loungers , and a little poolside "house" with a sink, toilet, shower and fridge - a fantastic idea. A stroll around the village is delightful, with beautiful old buildings and locals who are happy to have a chat. St Ambroix with its supermarkets and cafes and shops is only a short drive away. There are several picturesque villages in the vicinity eg Barjac and Lussan .. well worth the visit. A little further afield, Orange and Nimes are also well worth seeing. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday and a highly recommended vacation rental.
