“Not too bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2014 via mobile

Location is good if you want to be next to the CDG. Front desk guy was very good but restaurant staff pretty much without personlaity or engagement although breakfast was excellent. Rooms were small but for one night doesn't matter really. Great shuttle service despite crazy driving.

Especially the restaurant staff is very rude. Nothing about French gentility. Rooms are clean and comfortable. But the meals and the staff are awful. The otel is located close to the airport and so far away from the city center.

So, I don't like to really hammer a hotel with bad comments. I stayed in Campanile in Amiens, and it was good. I'll review shortly.
I stayed last night in Campanile Roissy. It was horrible.
On check in, the young girl serving us overheard a conversation with some colleagues. She went over and joined in, and left us at the desk. A few minutes later, she came back and handed the keys, and said everything is good.
We had no idea where the lifts were. No idea what services were provided or how to use them. Nothing about the restaurant or wifi.
We check in to the small but basic room. (I expected basic). Two single beds rather than a double, which we had reserved, but ignored that as we didn't have confidence in the staff to fix it.
We went down for dinner, and met the the most charming and welcoming person on earth. (Yes, that was sarcasm).
She asked if we had our coupon from the room. We assumed this was for a discount or something. We said no we didn't see it. She said it was with our room key. Nope, sorry still didn't see it. She huffed and said the paper with the room number.
Ahh I said, no that was in the bin in the room. We had no idea why this would be so important.
"Well you'll have to pay cash then," she snapped, as if we where annoying her with our presence.
We were seated and given menus. A few minutes later, a young man came and stood at the table and said nothing. I worked out from his "Dr Evil" from Austin Powers look that he was staff. (They all look a bit like that).
I asked if he was here to take our order. He was. Although there was no real explanation of how the buffet worked, he was the best service that we experienced and was polite and helpful.
There were two towels in the room - no hand towels etc, and the shower screen was broken, which meant water went all over the floor - which had no drain. (Rm 320).
After we had showered, I used the towels to dry the floor, so we could continue to use the toilet etc. the towels turned grey the floor was so dirty. It gave little confidence with the rest of the room.
The room however was very quiet. With the double windows closed, we could not hear any planes.
The older gentleman at the desk today was helpful. He gave an explanation of the air shuttle.
Overall, it was an ordinary to very bad experience.

Hope I have the right Campanile because I would hate to write a bad review for the wrong hotel. It is on the pink shuttle from the airport and near a B&B hotel. If Air France says they are putting you there, I am sorry for you. The room was not clean, the phone and remote were sticky. The breakfast was not good. No cups, silverware, napkins and not much food. Staff did not seem to like it when I asked for a napkin. It was not a fun ending to a wonderful trip.

Stayed for 1 night. The room is quiet little, but ok to spend one night. Breakfast is ok. Something that we didn't like: a huge mountain of garbage just under our window. So no possibility to open the window because of horrible smell. A woman from roomservice has entered the room without knocking at 10am approximately. I said that we will leave at noon. But she re-entered without knocking an hour later.

Room Tip: Try not to get a room with windows to the airport. There is a garbage there.

We stayed here with our 2 years old son overnight before catching a flight at CDG airport. This Campanille is unlike the motel style that is common elsewhere, it looks more like a massive 300-something suburb hotel. We use the decently priced underground parking (warning no and enjoyed a small but clean room. We slept well thanks to the double door. The bathroom was small but this is a no-frill hotel.

Breakfast buffet was OK although the restaurant was crowded and a quick checkout concluded our stay.

Just back from a trip which included this hotel rooms were great just right for listening to my latest choice in music Seven songs by Aaron Fyfe after a long journey from Scotland had a lovely dinner with great service from a young gentleman waiter who worked extremely hard did not get his name but he was a star .problems emerged next morning when it was difficult to get plates and cutlery for the included breakfast and the staff the best I can say is they were not helpful at all did not answer guests which is very off putting shortage of bowls spoons mugs not to mention no croissants . Complaint was made by our party,s driver on the first morning but things only got worse . The only positive thing I could say is the rooms are nice but the overall experience wasted by the indifference of the staff

Room Tip: Would not choose to stay here again even though the rooms were lovely
