If asked my favourite restaurant in Europe I have always replied this restaurant. We have been let down. The chef has always delivered each course as a masterpiece and we have wondered why it hadn’t got at least one Michelin star. Tonight we were let down badly. The starter was run of the mill fried mushrooms with garlic as one could get in any restaurant. The main course was asparagus, stringy at the ends with scallops, as one could get at any restaurant, the amuse bouche was crumbled hard boiled egg with a type of ratatouille as one could get at any restaurant! Where oh where was the inventive, amazing food we have always had here that one certainly could NOT get at any restaurant. It was my birthday and we had travelled a long way to be disappointed. Will we go again, yes because of the amazing food we have had previously. Please don’t let us feel let down again.
