La Brasserie Victor Hugo is located in the Mövenpick Hotel Paris Neuilly. It offers tasty breakfast and a la carte food. Atmosphere is good and the seating is not cramped like in many other restaurants in Paris. Staff is friendly, smiling and helpful.

It was a rather cool, damp and windy evening so we opted to dine-in at Movenpick's Brasserie Victor Hugo (BVH) instead of venturing out for the evening. It turned out to be one of the best dining decisions we made on our entire trip.

All the wait staff were smartly dressed and very professional. Our waiter was friendly, checked on us regularly without 'hovering' around our table like at some establishments. The restaurant maître'd made timely rounds to make sure we were 'being served' to our satisfaction.

We started our dining with a glass of one of their red wines Colle dei Venti Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. So enjoyable that we both ordered a second glass. Besides the traditional French, our breadbasket contained two other types of bread, all very fresh and tasty. We were offered a refill, but decided we better save room for our main entrees. Also included with our meals were small glass demi-bowls of a delicious duck stew appetizer.

While their braised lamb shanks sounded very good, I had to try the pan-fried sole in a lemon butter/oil sauce. It came pan fried to crispy, golden brown perfection with a large sidebowl of delicious creamy pureed potatoes. My companion ordered the Zurich veal. It also came perfectly pan-fried tender in a mushroom, white wine, buttery cream sauce served over fresh-grated, home-made crispy potatoes.

BVH's warm and welcoming atmosphere, staff and delicious food made a cool, damp Autumn evening in Paris most enjoyable.

We had the breakfast buffet which was included in the price of our room. Fresh fruit, delicious cheese and smoothies everyday were a plus

This restaurant was in the hotel, and we were tired and wanted convenient. We both ordered hamburgers, french fries, and were very happy. The portions were true American portions, and we could only eat about half of our meal. It was a bit pricey, but we felt that we also paid for convenience.

Undercooked chicken, totally overwhelmed staff, super-slow internet connection, an included breakfast which is in fact a "breakfast to go" ... for 359 euros/night!!!
