Hotel was a little tricky to find but had underground parking and was very well located for our visit to Versailles. To get to le chateau you just had to cross the roundabout and walk straight ahead for about 10 minutes. It was a nice walk down a tree lined avenue. Hotel rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. We had dinner in the hotel one night which was pretty good. Would definitely stay there again.

My wife, 4 yr old daughter and I stayed here for one night after visiting Versailles and after 3 nights in Arromanches at a hotel which had promised a lot but undelivered.

Arriving at the Novotel in Versailles, we were anxious, but rapidly cheered up!

From the ease of the underground parking to the spacious and modern reception to the huge family room and friendly service throughout, we were delighted.

The hotel has been undergoing a renovation in line with many Novotels across Europe and our room was in the new style.

A good-sized flat screen TV with international channels, a well-stocked minibar and plenty of floor space in the room made it a welcome change from other French hotels we've stayed in.

The hotel restaurant isn't stretching itself to reach new gastronomic heights but my steak was excellent and all three of us ate well at breakfast and dinner.

Novotels do cater for a business audience but this one managed to provide well for tourists alongside its business visitors.

Well done Novotel!

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights, as part of a weekend trip to Paris/Versailles. After reading the previous review, I was expecting a very basic hotel, perhaps slightly past its use-by date. What a surprise we had! The hotel has obviously had a major refurbishment.

All members of our party were delighted with their rooms, decorated in a plain, modern style (pale browns, greys and blues, and blonde wood). Each room had its own safe and flat screen tv. There was also a well-stocked mini-bar, but this was firmly locked. Perhaps they've had bad experiences of tour parties?! The double bed was comfortable, and there was a settee which could convert to extra bedding for children. The loo was separate from the bathroom - what a good idea! Also there was a reasonable amount of drawers and hanging space, with nice wooden hangers rather than plastic.

The room was certainly not luxurious, the pillows too man-made, the shower too basic and the towels too small for that, but it was very comfortable and extremely good value for money.

Breakfast in the morning was excellent, but rather shambolic. The staff were finding it difficult to cope with tour parties all wanting breakfast at once, but they were polite and willing, as were the reception staff.

The hotel is a comfortable 15 minute walk from the Palace of Versailles and plenty of restaurants.
