The short distance from the Chateau and good value (good pricing deals available for decent quality) are the main points of attraction.

The room was supposed to be superior...how? The room service was shocking! No-one picked up the phone and after three attempts and a ring down to reception someone came up to get our order. When the food arrived it was virtually inedible. We got a deal on the room on the internet...I would never have paid the full amount.

My husband had stayed in this hotel on business and knew it was near to Palace of Versailles, which we wanted to visit with our children. The hotel had an underground car park and it wasn't totally clear how to enter, but there was a buzzer to reception and they opened the door to it. It was fairly secure, but no lift. only a set of narrow stairs to outside of hotel, so had to drag bags up. There is also a charge for the car park, but saved having to find parking next day and more secure than road parking. The hotel was fine, although the toilet and basin had seen better days and the room entrance light didn't work - so perhaps a bit more maintenance needed. Had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the staff were friendly and efficient, with good food. Were able to buy tickets for Versailles at reception which saved some time. It was about a 20 minute pleasant walk straight down one tree-lined road to Versailles. Massive queues even with tickets, but worth it! We've stayed at lots of Novotels and this wasn't the best, but good hotel for short stop and visit to Palace. ps If you want to see fountains at Versailles Palace, check which days they are working first - usually weekends and a bit more expensive.
