I am a regular visitor to the Bistrot du Boucher in Issy-les-Moulineaux, and every visit has been superb.
The food is always of outstanding quality - try the "Salade a la mode Bistro" for a great started - and the service is top notch. It's great to be recognised after only a few visits, and I always feel really welcome when I arrive.
Try the all inclusive deal (menu tout compris) for an inclusive aperitif, starter, main, desert, coffee and half-bottle of house wine, this is excellent value at less than €32.
Register for a loyalty card (Carte Fidelité), as this will reward you with a free meal or bottle of champagne after around 10 meals. They also send out some nice discount vouchers each year.
Finally, my top tip is to always listen to your waiter or waitress! The only bad meal I have ever had there was after choosing "Pigs Trotters" from the specials board and being told "Are you sure? It's an acquired taste..." The French gentleman next to me seemed to very much enjoy his meal, so I am sure the quality was superb, but it was definitely not to my taste!
Fortunately, the starter and desert were great, and now I always pay attention to the recommendations from the staff!
