I stayed at this hotel as part of the trafalgar european accent tour. The hotel is located outside the central paris area, in the business district so the metro can get very busy in early morning or late afternoon with the workers going to and from the office. The hotel offers a free shuttle to take you to the metro station, which is about a 25 minute walk away. From the metro station you can get into and out of the area into paris central. Beware, make sure you get exact directions if you plan on walking to/from the metro station. It is very easy to get lost in the area. While others like the location, be aware that the hotel is not in the general paris area, making it harder to get around paris, you need to allow time to get to your destination in paris.
The room is okay, not large but big enough for 1 person. There is a shopping complex next door, complete with restaurants and even a bowling alley (if you can find it, lol). The wifi in the rooms is iffy but there are pc's in the lobby and on the second floor area that connects with the internet. The top floor offers an exercise room (with sauna) and also an observation area where you can even see the eiffel tower. I was placed in an inside room, I guess the tours are placed...I stayed at this hotel as part of the trafalgar european accent tour. Not sure if available to all but there is a 2nd floor dining area (may be for tour groups though). While decently sized, the room isn't large and can fill up quickly. There also was a problem with entrees running out so best to go early for breakfast. Service was IMHO slow and the breakfast line got longer as morning went on. On the 2nd floor there are a few other dining rooms for tour groups, one for americans, one for japanese, when the regular dining area fills up these rooms open up for the overflow crowd. the american room basically contained the same entrees as the regular dining room.
There is a bar on the first floor and I think a dining room next to it.
Not sure if it has been fixed but one elevator was out of service, putting a big burden on the other available elevators. there was always a wait and elevator service was slow, especially during the busy morning hours but most of the time the elevator was slow.
Also be forewarned, the shuttle to the metro station can get filled up during the busy times of the morning. People with bags may have to wait for the next shuttle if there are many riders. The...More
