Normally not a fan of "Chains",this is an exception.
I tasted their new Winter Menu on a freezing cold November afternoon.
Lots of warming red meat and very original ideas.
I chose the "Pave de Merlu"which is a codfish steak wrapped in bacon.Doesnt sound very exciting ? Especially in French ,"Enlardee",sounds like a punishment.
Actually it was delicious ,accompanied by superb mashed potatoes.
Washed down with my favourite red wine ,George Dubouef 's Morgon. In fact any of his Beaujolais are full bodied and at 14% alcohol ,just right to warm the extremities ,even the pichet at 9 euros.
