“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013

The hotel was comfortable. It was not in the city center, but the metro was just across a pedestrian overpass and worked fine for our sightseeing. There are some cafes and a bakery nearby. We stayed here with a Globus tour group. The breakfast was good and the area seemed nice.

Comfortable hotel- clean nice room. Staff very friendly - we got a free upgrade to a suite as it was my wife's birthday. Breakfast is quite good. A bit far from city centre but public transport is efficient and quite cheap. Would stAy again.

Room Tip: Beg for an upgrade

I stayed here with my boyfriend in June 2013. We absolutely loved it! The hotel was just perfect! Our room was absolutely amazing - it was massive, beautiful bathroom, extremely clean. We could not have asked for anything better. The breakfast was great, so much to choose from. All members of staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was also superb! Although the hotel is not located in the centre of Paris, it is only a short trip on the metro, which is situated very close to the hotel. We were chatting to one of the waiters named Laurent - he was extremely helpful and kind to us. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and if we ever go back to Paris, we will definitely stay here.

The hotel is fine, the rooms are fine. The breakfast area is small and you may have to wait (which can be a problem if you are on a tight schedule). The front desk will call taxis for you, change currency, etc. They are perfectly competent and it's a fine hotel for business.

The hotel is outside Paris itself. The nearest Metro stop is a good 15 minute walk. The area around the hotel basically rolls up the sidewalks fairly early for Paris, so if you are looking to while away some time sipping wine at a street cafe, forget it. We were there on the night of the summer solistice when the rest of Paris is awash with people as the tradition is for outdoor live music everywhere for most of the night. When we got on the Metro in Paris the scene on most streets was full of people and noise and music and when we got off the Metro near the hotel, that street was dead and empty. There is a laundromat on the street, however, so if you are at the point in a trip when you need to do laundry, that would be convenient (some in our group did so).

Therefore, use this hotel if you want nothing more than a bed and/or are doing business in the area or don't mind the walk to/from the Metro and lengthy Metro rides.

The Radisson Blu Paris Boulogne is not on the doorstep of the Eiffel Tower but if you're comfortable with taking the Metro then the centre of Paris is only around 12 stops away (about 20 stops from Gare Du Nore station)

We were welcomed on arrival by a warm reception and a bright lobby.
We stayed on the 4th floor in a Superior room and we were fortunate to have an outdoor terrace with furniture, which was nice especially as the sun was out.
The hotel provided a travel cot for our baby (although I did take my own)
The room was clean, thick curtains kept the daylight out, and the bed very comfortable.
A nice sized bathroom (we enjoyed double sinks in our bathroom) again very clean.

Usual amenities in the room, and it was nice to have free Wi Fi which we picked up easily.

Good selection of English and continental breakfast options available, with attentive staff on hand. The fresh croissants and pastries were delicious and what you would expect from a hotel in Paris. I did like the extended times for breakfast at the weekend, between 6:30 and 11am

Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel accommodating to our needs with our baby.

Room Tip: Make sure you advise the hotel that you are staying with a baby.

I stayed only one night last month (20-21 June 2013) for company meeting.

It is located almost outside of Paris - but for those who are thinking of going around with Metro (travelling with luggages and kids), please do reconsider, as it is still 20 mins away from the nearest Metro stations. It is close however to the Orly airport.

The hotel itself is very nice - not the best view, but food, facilities, everything - it is as mentioned. Services are nice as well. Dinner, lunch and breakfast were outstanding.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Radisson Blu Boulogne. It is away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown Paris, yet it is conveniently located near a Metro station that can you in town in about 20 min. The food was quite good. Breakfasts were excellent. The folks at this hotel were extremely helpful and very friendly. We were on a tour for the first 2 nights and added on a night to tool around Paris on our own. Our tour with Globus and our guide, Pasquale Iaquinto, were just fabulous. I cannot say enough about the tour operator or our guide. They definitely made our day! With the tour, we ate at Jeannette's and had a marvelous meal--just excellent--we tried escargot (loved it) and quiche as our appetizers and salmon as our entrée. Kir is an intriguing drink they provided before dinner and with dinner you could have red or white wines, as well as other options. Then, Pasquale took us on a tour of Paris by bus that wound up at the Eiffel Tower at midnight, when the tower sparkles with laser lights. It was quite memorable. So was our trip to Montmarte, a small artists' community that overlooks Paris from a hillside. Very impressive. We were happy to have our hotel away from the crowds. We even ate on our last night at an outside bistro recommended by the folks at our hotel. It was a few steps away and great food, too.

Room Tip: Our room faced the street, but with the air conditioning on, it was fairly silent--and, we had a vie...
