We stayed for a week on the ground floor of The Workshops. The front patio doors look out onto the farmyard, which is a hard concrete surface. We saw a lot of activity from the livery stables. The accommodation appears to be converted buildings that are quite old as there are a few wooden beams. There were a few spiders and webs as one might expect. Spacious property. The ensuite shower is a bit cramped, but we managed. There is a bath in the main bathroom. Suitable for a family with 2 children. Really comfortable beds. There is a half hour circular walk around the farm along the river and past the church. There are sheep, fruit and vegetables. We sat outside the front patio doors which catch the afternoon sun. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Nice location on the farm. Central to many places. Accommodation was a little dated but this was ok as we had small children running from barn to barn.

We had a lovely holiday at Barn 1 and would definitely recommend it for families. The residents are all very friendly- my children even got to help feed the sheep, which was a highlight of their holiday. Beautiful surroundings, albeit a bit noisy at times through the day due to the airport, but never before 6-30am and not too late into the evening either- we actually enjoyed watching the planes taking off overhead. The barn itself is very spacious- I loved the house and could quite happily live there! The shower isn't great, due to low water pressure, but this is only a minor niggle and didn't worry us too much. Very tempted to come back next year.

Certainly the largest 'cottage' we've stayed in - loads of space! Slightly tired decor but clean with all the usual mod cons. Nearby BoMo airport not a major inconvenience wrt noise. Slightly quirky location - on a working farm 'in' Bournemouth, but feels pleasingly isolated. Local roads VERY clogged at rush hour - plan round these. Excellent food at the Curlew Inn at top of Church Lane. Great base for exploring - Beaulieu, New Forest, Poole Harbour, Wimborne, Lulworth Cove and Corfe Castle all recommended.

For a family looking for a UK holiday, I would certainly recommend this cottage.
Its basic but functional. Some of the utilities are ageing but are all in good order and the cottage is kept clean and smart. Its roomy and conducive for a large group to live together without getting in each others way.
The bedrooms are downstairs and living area and kitchen is upstairs which makes for an interesting adjustment at first and it actually works well. If you are a fan of both country and city then this location could not get better - we loved being a 15 minute drive to the beach without the congestion of living in a city.
The living room has a wood-burning stove which adds a nice touch when staying at any other time than summer. The stables next to barn 1 and 2 help to give a rural feel and the day-to-day working of a stable enable those from a city a chance to hear and see something different right outside your front door. The kids loved this and the horses were friendly.
In summary, for the price, we highly recommend this accommodation. We'll be booking a return trip next year some time.

We had a wonderful stay in Barn 1. The location is excellent, just a short distance away from Bournemouth,Poole and the New Forest. The Cottage is on a working fruit farm near the river Stour. The children loved seeing the horses every day. The cottage itself had very spacious rooms and all the equipment you would need for a self catering holiday. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at the barn, the open field's and semi rural location were just what we needed.
It was wonderful to see the horses and talk to the owners and learn about them.
The kitchen was very well laid out and had everything we needed.
I would recommend this barn to anyone who likes the rural way of life , with Bournemouth just a short drive away
