Stopped here en-route to the UK from Italy. The room was excellent - smart, quiet and well designed. WiFi was available but didn't quite extend to our distant room, but wandering about with a laptop solved the problem.

The restaurant was excellent - interesting menu, good range of selections, beautifully cooked.

Only one criticism - the waiting staff could do with smiling occasionally!

The room we stayed in, on the ground floor, had a 'classic decor', and was comfortable enough, but the bathroom and separate toilet were in dire need of renewing! Judging from the tiles etc, they had not been updated since the 1970s. There was no shower curtain around the bath, and the toilet had a most unpleasant smell - a mixture of damp and urine! I'm sure that if you pay for one of the 'superior' rooms, you'd have a different experience. It's just a pity that the renovations have not extended throughout the hotel.
The breakfast was delightful, service good and the public areas of the hotel were very comfortable. The restaurant was far too expensive for us, so we ate in town.

We found this place in the Michelin when looking for somewhere to stay overnight on our way from Montpellier to Brussels without having to drive into Dijon. It had a restaurant with a Michelin star and affordable rooms that Michelin described as quiet. We rang them at 19.00 and booked a table and a room for that evening. The receptionist was as charming on the phone as he proved to be in person when we turned up. He helped us with our luggage and showed us the room. It had just been renovated and had a plush and spacious shower room with luxurious toiletries (my wife asked if she could buy some when we checked out). The beds (two singles pushed together, don't know whether they have double beds) were comfortable, the bedding fresh and the airco worked. Everything seemed well designed and new. There was a good-sized flatscreen tv with a fair choice of channels (including CNN) and a complimentary bottle of Evian.
We were delighted with the room, which we considered good value at €105.
After freshening up we went to dinner. The dining room looks as though it is in the process of being gradually modernised. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal (seasonal ingredients, good textures and fresh flavours) and found the service provided by a group of trainees from a Dijon hotel school headed by an experienced wine waiter to be pleasant and attentive. The chef (who owns the place) popped out to see how things were going.
We had a good night's sleep and enjoyed our breakfast, which included fresh orange juice and a salad of carefully peeled orange and grapefruit segments.
This hotel restaurant has a lot going for it: renovated rooms, great food, a nice bar, a garden, a swimming pool, off-street parking, staff who want you to like the place ...
My only suggestions would be that they get some decent teas to match their excellent coffee and that they provide a lighter quilt in summer.
We would definitely go back.

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay on a journey between Calais and Switzerland.
We arrived early evening in the snow and were amazed at the warm and friendly welcome we received from the owner who was looking after the reception desk.
Our bags were quickly taken up to a very large and comfortable bedroom. We had booked the 'Grande Chambre' which was excellent value for money.
The dinner was superb and certainly warranted its Michelin star and the service faultless.
Breakfast was excellent and we were sad to leave for our onward journey, as we could easily have spent a few more days here.
Definitely a hotel not to miss if you are travelling in this region.
We will certainly go back again to one of the friendliest little hotels we have visited

The hotel was convenient and easy to find. Very warm welcome.
Our room on the ground floor can only be described as out-of-date contemporary in style, but it had a big comfortable bed. The lighting was subtle to a fault. The bathroom was 'bijou' but robes and slippers were appreciated. Why can't one scarcely ever find a socket for a hair-dryer close enough to a mirror?

Bar (still smoking 28 hours before total smoking ban) was set about with candles and painted bamboo - comfortable but a bit odd.

The restaurant service was very, almost too, attentive. The menu too was strange, fusion - France meets North Africa via China - 'con'fusion, really. The sommelier was pushing very expensive local wines. Our less expensive choice (again a bit strange to one of us) matched perfectly with the fantastic local cheese, but not with the starters and main course.

Then out came the chef, a vision in pink-piped blacks with matching Elton John-type spectacles - all was explained!

Breakfast was excellent. But on the whole the stay was not good value for money.

This is best described as a restaurant with rooms. The food is first class - not cheap but really good quality and imaginative menus. Extensive wine list from the reasonably priced to the very expensive. Service in the restaurant and hotel generally was excellent.
The room we had was of a high standard, plasma TV, dressing gowns / slippers / minibar and huge double bed. Also use of a terrace and sitting room. This was the most expensive in the hotel at 120 euros - excellent value.
There is also an outdoor swimming pool set in very pleasant grounds. Altogether a good experience. We'll use it again in our travels in France.
