My husband and I were travelling through Saint Dizier en route to Switzerland. We were staying near the town and needed to find somewhere for dinner. It was a Sunday night so the choices were very limited but we found this restaurant in the heart of the town, with seating outside overlooking the Hotel de Ville.
At first the manager was very helpful, but this good service seemed to diminish quite rapidly. The quality of the food was not great - Goat's Cheese Salad was served on top of a hash brown and a few salad leaves - it made it for a heavy and greasy starter, which I didn't enjoy. I then had Veal Escalope with mushrooms and this was very tough/over-cooked although the sauce and mushrooms were fine.
I think, looking at those around me, that the pizzas are the best choice at this restaurant and in fact they have a good looking pizza oven near the front of the restaurant with a window separated to the far left of the building offering take aways.
Would I return? Not unless I had no other choice.
