On a cold November night in the ghost town of Chateauroux we found this tiny Bistrot. The menu is small and not very adventurous. Snails to start were very tasty but not as hot as they might have been.
Jock of ham with lentils and calf kidneys were the main courses.
Everything was nicely cooked and tasty. The service was very good and all in all a very nice evening.
This little bistrot must have a good regular clientele because it was full when we left despite the totally empty streets!
I did find the wine list a little bit on the expensive side but......
I’ll be going back!

On a Tuesday evening...really?? We had made reservation, sat down at 7.30 main course arrived at 9pm...really??
Pork too chewy for me, couldn't taste much garlic in sauce.
Disappointing overall after reading good reviews.

We took a detour when passing by the area. It was a Saturday during holiday season, only few restaurants were open. The restaurant has about 15 tables, very tiny tables. The menu is on the board, like most small French restaurant. The dishes are well cooked, typical southwestern French taste — strong in taste and color. The accompanying wine in small bottle is so so in taste though. Anyway, worth a detour during a long drive.

We were looking for a typical French dinner and found this restaurant in a little street of Châteauroux. In this warm summer, we sat at a table in the pedestrian street.

Very kind and with humour, the waiter has made his best to satisfy us. We have enjoyed very much the typical "canaille" French food from the Lyonnais served in this restaurant. It was really well cooked and in good quantity.

Sleeping in the nearby located ibis city center hotel at chateauroux i walked outside to find a nice place to eat alone and discovered this small nice restaurant which seemed okay.
The menu is based on some typical plates from regional specialties and you can order good wines by the glass. On the roof they hang many kitchen tools and walks are full of old fashioned pictures and old publicities.
Food was more than okay, service was fast and correct and final bill very acceptable for received quality.
