This is a lovely cathedral with excellent stained glass windows and many artifacts. Pick up a leaflet as you walk around for more details.

The cathedral is in the very heart of the city. It has a particular atmosphere, silent, dark and cold. It is very difficult to take pictures of its front view because everything is just near.

I like visiting churches but nothing extraordinary to say about this one, there are fine stained glass windows.

The cathedrale Saint Pierre is a magnificent building right in the centre of old Vannes, within the walled city. Rather than passing by, pop in for a look at the very impressive interior. The cathedral was extensively restored between the 13th and 19th C. The entrance is through a huge Gothic doorway and above are 12 statues of the apostles.

The interior of the Cathedral was very good, with its bent nave etc. However the day we visited (with a group of 10 friends) there was a market going on around the outside with a lot of tat - goods & marketstalls. This couple with the fact of the entrance to the Cathedral was surrounded by large groups of people smoking, to which you had to go through this curtain of 'stink' to get access.
