The best thing about this place is the view, especially at sunset. We found a hair on our glass and it took a long time to get served. The place was so hot, and no one opened the windows. However, The food is good and reasonably priced.

Being fortunate enough to live half an hour away from Le Vivier we can visit it regularly. I have to say that it is consistently good but the a fish restaurant which is run by fishermen's families should be. For this reason you really do need to book at most times of the year, particularly as those who book get the tables by the windows which gives some stunning views of the Cote Savage which is at its best when you wouldn't want to sit outside! When the weather is good you really do want to sit outside even if you have to queue for a while to get a table as you can't book outside tables. The menu is limited but the quality is good; the wine is slightly on the high side of average but they do quite a few half bottles and many by the glass; the prices are reasonable considering the location but they have such a rapid turnover they don't need to hike the price to turn in a tidy profit! If I could change anything it would be the fact that they are closed in January and February when I want to go for my birthday!

A great situation overlooking the Côte Sauvage, where they serve simple fresh shellfish at very fair prices. Best to book to be sure of a table. The service is friendly & efficient and I very much appreciated the advice on the best way to get into a spider crab. The Muscadet was good too.

We wanted to find a place up on the rocks overlooking the see!!!! Boy did we find it. This little house serves up the best Mussels and Frittes anywhere! The Fish soup was amazing, however it was a broth only, no chunks of fish. Still real tasty. Service was great. This is a must after driving out the peninsula!

Quiberon... beautiful part of the World. Le Vivier, lucky restaurant located on the most incredible stretch of coastline in that beautiful part of the World. Where they have been clever, is that despite the location justifying a 5* restaurant only accessible to the most fortunate, Le Vivier is affordable and open to all. The menu is small, the food is simple but all ingredients are fresh and delicious, at prices that do not break the bank. There is a high turnover of customers, especially during the summer months, so, there may not be time to make a big fuss of you, smiles may be few and far between because the staff are already thinking of the next table, the next order... They are just highly efficient.
My parents are regulars at Le Vivier and are always warmly welcome. If you can, try Le Vivier outside of the tourist season, you will get all the smiles and attention that you deserve:-)
