“Good value”
Reviewed May 31, 2013 via mobile

We stayed for three nights. Good value and friendly. Nice 15 minute walk into the centre of town.

If you are happy with the walk into town I would get breakfast at a cafe in the centre as it is better value. No other concerns though. Would stay again.

The hotel is a good 20 minute walk into Quiberon's main "eateries", but as a result is very quiet. The rooms are basic, clean, comfortable bed, good shower. The breakfast is good and cheaper than some other hotels at 9 euros each. We were able to get a drink from a small bar when we came back at 10pm. The hotel seems to cater for the 60 plus age bracket, it has a lovely pool, slightly dated in a "seaside boarding house" kind of way. We had a good night's sleep and for a one night stopover in Quiberon at short notice it did the job OK.

Belle Vue Quiberon
Pleasant hotel located about 50 yards back from the rocky coastline at Quiberon. View out to sea somewhat obstructed by new buildings between hotel and shoreline but from our room ( number 5 ) we could see across the bay and watch the ferries come in.
We had booked a large seaview room and it was certainly big – large comfortable bed, separate toilet, big bathroom, desk, plenty of storage, safe, TV and free wifi. Room did not have balcony but two loggias – elevated areas with big sliding windows ( keeps the wind off you but lets the warmth in ). Other rooms do have small balconies with table & chairs. Highlight for us was the nice heated freshwater swimming pool which got the sun from about 10am to 6 pm and was reasonably sheltered from the coolish breeze from the sea. Hotel provides free of charge dressing gowns and there are sunloungers around the pool.
Menu at hotel for dinner looked a bit limited so we ate out for the three nights we stayed there. It is about a 10-15 minute stroll along the seafront to the centre of Quiberon where there are endless restaurants in all price brackets. They give you the front door key to get back in after 10 pm.
Walk in the other direction and you can stroll for miles along the seafront, beautiful sandy coves and a great lunchtime restaurant at Port Haligan marina. The hotel is a great base for exploring the Quiberon peninsula and you must drive/walk along the Cote Sauvage ( western side of the peninsula ) to see the tremendous rocky coastline and beaches
Breakfast was very good with all the usual continental choices including boil your own eggs. Hotel was quite busy when we were there first week in June but parking was fine just on the no through road outside. Booked via their website and paid 380 euros for 3 nights B & B for two in their largest room. All staff very friendly and a very enjoyable stay !

Quite a nice place in the Quiberon area. Very nice room and bed. Small swimming pool and a good restaurant (expect ~30-40 Euro). Internet works fine and is free. The extremely expensive breakfast (9/10 Euro each), probably good but we didn't take it, is one of the few "minus" we noticed. Also the room price (90-130 Euro double) is too high in our opinion.
Good location to explore the beatiful surroundings.

This hotel is a good option for a place to go to relax. We booked at half-board, meaning that breakfast and dinner were provided. The dinner was a fixed menu, that included 3 courses. The chef prepared a varied and appealing menu. Breakfast was a buffet that was so large that you wouldn't be bored.
The staff in the hotel were so friendly and kind, and were especially attentive to the needs of our little 10-month-old baby; offering to wash our baby-plates and utensils after each meal, which was a nice convenience. The swimming pool was heated and inviting, even though the air was cool in the month of May. I went for a dip on two different days.
The internet access provided is indeed free, even if you have to give a valid email address and complete a signup process to get the access. I can't say that I've been spammed yet by the provider.
Bellevue is in a residential neighborhood, away from all the big beach and bustle of the center of town. You can walk there in about 30 minutes if you're walking along the sea. In the opposite direction is Port Haliguen, also about 30 minutes away.
Directly nearby are a tiny beach, a casino, and the thalassotherapy spa at the Sofitel. It's a viable way to save some money by staying at the Bellevue, and then walking 20 minutes to the Sofitel for your massages and treatments. The walk is right along the sea and as long as the weather is good, the walk is a real pleasure. We had 3 days of continuous sun on the Quiberon peninsula, even as clouds were evident over the mainland. My wife said it's a microclimate.
I have no idea what it would be like to stay here if you only spoke English. My French has gotten better over the years, and my wife is French, so we never have a problem communicating, and my expectations aren't so "American" as they once were. By French standards this hotel was everything it was supposed to be and then some. The extras were an especially cozy bar area, and a pool area that gets full sun, while being nicely protected from the stiff wind that blows all the time out here.
