“Coffee by the sea”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Cannot really comment on the food as we only had coffees. But we sat outside facing the sea in full sun and it was lovely.

“Top Ice cream”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

We didn't eat in the restaurant but the adjoining Ice cream parlor is amazing with lots of different flavours of ice cream and sorbet

“Virtually ignored!”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

Waited nearly 15 minutes at this beach front eatery before anyone came spoke to us (party of 3). Was told that risotto couldn't be served for another hour & 20 minutes, ie. after 7pm. Didn't fancy pizza or steak so upped & left (and found the excellent Cafe Foutu instead).

“consistently good, best ice cream in Brittany, but miserable ice-cream kiosk staff.”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

we ate here last year several times and returned again this year. It's on the beach front, you can choose to eat in or outside. It has a more varied menu than lots of other restaurants in the area. The service is fine, the price is reasonable for a beach front restaurant (approx 100 Euros for 3 adults main meals and a drink each and a kid's meal)

The only niggle we had with this place was the ice cream kiosk. It's attached to the restaurant but it also operates separately as a take-away ice-cream kiosk. It's very popular and often busy and has a lot of choice - some lovely unusual flavours (to an English palette anyway) like violette, pistache, barbar papa (candyfloss) etc.

we went most days and the four of us tried different flavours and tried to be ready with our order for our turn ( 2 - 3 scoops each, different flavours -in a cone or a bowl) if there was a misunderstanding the women who served us actually tutted and rolled their eyes!!! and if they smiled - the smile never actually reached their eyes.

Okay, it's hot and you're serving people but don't work in a tourist area if you can't be personable. We would have spent our money elsewhere if we had found comparable ice cream.

It actually became a sport by the end of the holiday to see which one would be the rudest and I longed to go and pay a £12 ice-cream bill in 2cent pieces!
