“Great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

We stayed three nights here and used it as a base to explore. However, it is also really well sited for the old city of Sarlat and its Saturday market. Very comfortable rooms - we had an executive room which overlooked the square. The room was a good size and the bathroom was generous and had a bath as well as a shower. Bathrobes and slippers were available for use. The weather changed on second day and there were some showers, but the reception staff lent us an umbrella for the duration of our stay and we were not slowed down at all. The reception staff were very friendly and initiated conversation on several occasions. The rain showers meant we did not get a swim, but the rooftop pool looked very inviting. I would not have liked to have had one of the rooms which overlooked this pool area though. Secure parking was not far away and was very secure so I guess the 12 euros per day parking was worth the peace of mind.

Only down side really was that I would have expected a hotel of this quality to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. fortunately we had brought a travel kettle, but there are several medium range French hotel chains which are including kettles in rooms and I think LOGIS should review its policy here.

Room Tip: It is worth investing in an executive room and overlooking the square. Several of the cheaper rooms...

Two couples travelling, both rooms were excellent! Our room was situated at the front of the building, and had a small balcony with view to the square. Double glazing kept the noise out, and the room lovely and cool! The room was beautifully decorated and we had everything we needed. When we needed to press some clothes, irioning board and iron supplied with friendly service. Our check-in was friendly and prompt. The yummy lollies on the reception counter just deliscious and addictive. We were there for 4 nights, within easy walking distance to the old village, and their own private parking garage was a treat. We found breakfast adequate, but as per previous previews by others, there is room for improvement. The swimming pool is just gorgeous and a true retreat from the hussle and bussle from the outside. We had a pre-dinner drink at their terrace in the front of the hotel every night, lovely place to sit. The only criticism I could give there, and that would be very picky, is that they have a little hedge between footpath and terrace, which prevents you from enjoying the passing parade of holiday makers, such a french custom, and what every one does in France, watching the 'promenade'!
We would certainly return to this beautiful hotel!

Right in the central square, the location is perfect, with a wrought iron balcony overlooking the street. The room was modernized with a good bathroom. The pool at the back of the hotel was a great surprise. Breakfast good, but room rather lacking character. Good cocktails on the outside terrace overlooking the street

We stayed at this hotel for a week attending a professional workshop. The rooms are very comfortable .The decor has modern nice details. The elevator has a decent size that could acomodate many of our group members who had to leave in a rush.
The reception people were great. One even speaks Spanish too. We had a problem with the
air conditioning that was fixed soon with the help of the manager.
The hotel is centrally situated within walking distance of most attraction and easy proximity to the Saturday market. It is two blocks from two excellent restaurants Le Distro de L' Octroi and Le Petit Manoir.
The one disliked feature is their breakfast menu. It has the standard basic features but it lacks imagination. and assortment. The sometimes gooey mess that passed for scrambled eggs should be cooked better. After a few days we wanted to eat somewhere else.
Yes, we do recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the Plaza, They are not noisy.

Close to main drag, clean, nice decor, comfy beds, proper walk-in showers, good breakfast. No restaurant, but a very exxy bar with some snacks. Close to decent restaurants. Quite quiet because it's on a square. The small pool looked nice. Excellent service from friendly staff. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have french windows with a pleasant view onto the square.

Parking-they have their own garage so perfect. Spot on for access to the old town.
The first air-con room for a while and it was quiet with comfortable temperature. Bliss. The room was superb overall. We used the bar, lovely staff and breakfast was a feast.
The pool is really good, nice size and good temperature for this time of year.
We had two rooms interconnected to form a mini suite. So overall excellent.

This is constructive comments that we hope the owner takes on board-
The hotel was fantastic, great location and no expense spared. There were 5 couples who arrived and the main receptionist was very rude (short black hair) and unhelpful which didn't set the lovely break on the right note. The owner and her daughter were so polite and welcoming when we met them and even served us rounds of drinks all afternoon at the Jacuzzi.
The rooms are beautifully done but the bathrooms need updating.
The breakfast was very average and with a little more thought it could be taken to a much better level. The lady who is in charge of breakfasts (wears black) is also very rude which makes you feel not welcome at all.
This hotel could be soooo good and we would give it 5/5 if the hotel improved some of their staff attitudes to us tourists.
