“Non, je ne regrette rien about renting this house.”

I can't really add anything to the praise other reviewers have given to this property, but I can confirm it--the house is just as nice as everyone says and as the photos depict it as being-- and I would like to emphasize how efficient Mrs. Eadie is in making the reservations and in handling all the arrangements. Very prompt and patient in responding to emails, she is a pleasure to deal with.

“Great place. Great value. Great location.”

This place is great. It has everything. It's roomy comfortable and well located.
Parking and pool too.
Xanthe and Hamisch are Brits so English is no problem and it's great to have all the sky tv English speaking channels available. I was thinking that if I was visiting from Australia or new Zeeland this would be a great place to rent. I also can assure that the deposits and all monies were handled perfectly. The paypal deposit was returned in one day.
You absolutely need a car to tour the caves and the river area but it's also great to be able to walk downtown and see the sights. Don't miss the market. It's Wednesday and SaturdayI believe. Stock up on French food and get some local tomme cheese.
There is a large shopping center nearby with a Carrefour and a surprisingly good French style McDonald's with free wi fi.
Must sees-
We went to lascaux ( call and Book an English tour) and it is not to be missed.
Neither is the prehistory museum in Ezeys. There are so many prehistory sites that you couldn't possibly visit them all. We did the rick river valley drive and stopped in many of the towns and churches but the Beynac castle was superb.
Stay for a while. Three days was not enough for us.
Great value great fun. A+.

“Stylish house in great location”

We spent three weeks here this past September and can highly recommend both the house and the location. The house is everything you could ask for - charming, comfortable and convenient. We had beautiful summer weather and especially enjoyed the pool and dining on the porch. The fireplace was welcome on the one cold night of our visit. Modern amenities, especially the unlimited hot water and up-to-date baths and kitchen, nicely complement the rustic country french interior.

The Sarlat market, shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. Being so close to everything gave everyone on the trip some independence that wouldn't have been possible if driving was required. And it was just a short drive to the caves, canoeing on the Dordogne and an unending supply of chateaux and gardens.

The owners were available and knowledgeable about the area and were very helpful

In all, the house and location exceeded our expectations.

“Amazing location, fab pool, comfortable villa”

The pre-booking holiday organisation with Xanthe was second-to-none in terms of accuracy of information and clarity of booking process. The photos on the website are an accurate representation of the villa. The best 2 things about the villa for us with 4 children (aged 6-12) was the AMAZING pool (much bigger than many private pools) and the absolutely sensational location a 5 minute flat walk into the centre of the utterly delightful Sarlat on the best side of town!! We took a short walk every morning to collect fresh fruit, croissants and baguettes from the local shops and ate out almost every evening. The master bedroom in the villa is stylish and the 2 other bedrooms more than adequate for the children. The gardens are extensive and the privacy and security the plot and villa afford make it an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys having cafe/pavement culture right on their doorstep. We would definitely recommend this holiday to anyone who loves the real France!

Management Response
Jun 20, 2014
We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Sarlat and liked the decor of the house. Also that you found that the price you paid for 4 guests of only 28 Euros pppn was good value for money for a centre of town house rental with 3 ensuite bedrooms, fully fitted kitchen with all new appliances for 2014, British Satelite TV, private garden, parking and pool, such better value than a hotel room & eating out every meal. :-)

“A perfect gem”

we stayed here for a week and had the most perfect time. The house is welcoming and comfortable and absolutely perfectly located. We could walk to excellent restaurants, the wonderful market and the many sights of lovely Sarlat. The area around Sarlat is fabulous and we had a number of great days out visiting villages, chateaux, and gardens.
I was a little nervous about booking via paypal and on line but the whole process went without a hitch. Xanthe was very helpful and responded to our many questions promptly. The security deposit was refunded within 24 hours of checking out. I genuinely wish we had spent 2 weeks there and recommend this house if you want to explore the Dordogne area or just want to bask in the relaxed environment of the south of France.

“Beautiful house, could not have wished for more”

Super house, excellent location with restaurants and shops just around the corner.
Well cared for and maintained cottage, obviously recently redecorated, new kitchen equipment. A large beautiful garden provides the cottage with excellent privacy, a real oasis in the town centre, with the bonus of a large parking area too. Great to have English TV and WIFI to keep in contact with family whilst travelling.

All in all, a very comfortable home with very friendly and helpful owners who made the whole booking process very easy.
