“Very comfortable house in a great location; great for 2 couples or a family with children”
Reviewed May 26, 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay in this lovely stone house in Sarlat. We were 2 couples and it suited our needs very well. Sarlat is a great base location for visiting the many surrounding attractions that are within easy driving distance. Booking the house was easy as Xanthe was very efficient and helpful.

“A Fantastic Find”
Reviewed April 10, 2012 for a stay in March 2012

Well other excellent reviews were true. This is a great house in a perfect location. Lovely house with a plentiful supply of wood for the fire. Too cold for the Pool, but looks good and is well shielded from the road. Though it is near to the centre (even a slowcoach would only take 5 mins to the heart of the town) it is a couple of roads back from any through traffic, and we were amazed how quiet it was. Lots of good facilities within easy reach, and being to the north of the centre, you can get easy access to the new bypass to the South. Lots to see and do in the area, we will be back soon. Our only slight complaint is the absence of WiFi, really a must these days as the coffee shops are not open at night.

“Wonderful!!!”
Reviewed June 2, 2011 for a stay in May 2011

The cottage was a fabulous 3 bedroom house close to the old city center. The gardens and pool are beautiful. We sat outside at the patio table even on the rainy days. When the weather turned cold our host stopped by to light a fire in the fireplace. Overall I would highly recommend this VRBO, it is a great central local location for day trips.

The house is very comfortable and charming. Only drawback, no WIFI.

“Very comfy, clean, well appointed”
Reviewed May 19, 2011 for a stay in December 2010

The 4 of us (1 couple + 2 adults) had booked for 4 nights and extended to a 5th one.
Fantastic location, walking distance to the "action" (so to speak), yet nicely tucked away at the back of nice garden. Ample space for parking.
Didn't get to use the large enough swimming pool (december), but very much enjoyed the very nice fireplace (additional electric heaters for the room were very effective) and even some of the morning sunshine on the terrace.
The living/dining room was homely, comfy and spacious enough for us to enjoy several meals that we prepared in the well appointed kitchen.
The upstairs and the front bedrooms, both with one comfortable double bed, enjoy great natural lighting and garden views. The third bedroom, with 2 single beds, tucked away behind the kitchen, is ideal for kids/teenagers.
The check in and out procedures were very easy (we saw the owner once for 3 minutes on the last day); instructions and information were crystal clear so we never had to call on anyone to help us in anyway.
Just a block away from the house is one of the best restaurants in Sarlat, and the region is splendid.
All in all, the excellent accommodation was a strong contributor to our brilliant stay there.
