The owner of our bed and breakfast recommended this restaurant to us and we were not disappointed. The setting is very pleasant, with tables not too close together, and the service was very professional. The food was contemporary, with interesting combinations, and the portions were adequate. We recommend this restaurant.

We had a very enjoyable mid-day "formule" meal here recently. After several weeks of travel dining in France, it was particularly pleasing to have a generous serving of vegetables with our main course. While situated in the historic town centre, we were of the impression that there was a blend of French patrons as well as other foreign guests. Service was relaxed, and the food was nicely presented and prepared. We would definitely recommend.

Chef Marc Bidoyet understand like nobody else to combine 2 cuisines, he marries sweet and salt, the east and the west, the french and japanese, the tradition and creativity. He is a genius. The food is very tasty, well balanced and beautifully presented. He knows how to cook the and vegetables. This restaurant really deserve a Michelin Star. We would also like to mentioned Lucie who serves gracefully and with charm. As we ate there now 9 times, she knows our taste, remembers what we had before and recommends something new. She has a eye for details wonderful eye for details.

We had an excellent meal here and would highly recommend Les jardins d"Harmonie to anyone staying in Sarlat. Recommend reservations. We shared a first course plate of scallops/fois gras/mushrooms that was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Steve had Lamb Roti which, in his words, was "out of this world". I had Sea Bass and it was excellent- perhaps the best I've had. We were served complimentary (yummy) soup veloux. Steve had coffee served in an attractive dish/cup set with a small "melt-in-your-mouth" pastry. I had a couple glasses of wine and Steve had a couple beers. All this for $104! We rate our meal as a full 5-Star experience.

We were at breakfast at our B&B, when the German couple next to us asked, "Have you been able to find a restaurant that serves vegetables." There are several good restaurants in Sarlat and surrounding region, but many of them--no matter how good--apparently believe that half a cherry tomato constitutes a sufficient vegetable side dish. And, when did a finishing salad or salad composée fall out of fashion? It seems your choice is often just "soit canard soit foie gras ou les deux ensemble." Fortunately, there is restaurant les Jardins d'Harmonie, where you have a good selection of beef, poultry, pork and seafood (as well as duck) and vegetables, lovely vegetables, including an excellent La 7éme Salade Végétarienne, all excellently prepared and elegantly plated. I had beef with truffles that was exceptional and perfectly rosé in the center and my wife had a delicate, perfectly flakey white fish. The staff were friendly and efficient. The only caution is that the restaurant can be more expensive than others in town (especially if you like truffles!).
