Once again a pleasure.

Simple good food and quick and elegant service.

Nothing to add to it but make sure you have reserved.

Not a large menu choice but this is because they have concentrated on a niche market, offering good peasant food, parma ham, potatoes and cheese sauce, we had a similar type of meal in the Auvergne. Lovely little restaurant, great atmosphere, staff happy and friendly and welcoming, very busy so book or be prepared to wait for a free table.

Lovely hearty food. A change from all of the other samey menus in forgettable restaurants in Sarlat. We went here based on the reviews on here and weren't disappointed. Lots of character and home made hearty food. The ham cheese and potatoes was amazing. Well worth a visit.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a Sarlat local and it was a welcome change from the tourist eateries. A limited menu but different - ham is the main feature but there is enough variety to suit most tastes. While the food is quite simple, it is made with good quality produce and is tasty. It was warm and friendly on a rainy night. Prices are not excessive. If you haven't booked you need to be in by 7pm or you will have to wait. Highly recommended.

We visited this restaurant after reading the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. In fact we enjoyed our visit so much that we visited twice during our stay in Sarlat.
The restaurant was cosy and welcoming with friendly and English speaking staff, especially the lovely waitress who looked after us and explained the menu. The food is mountain food; the most wonderful hams and meats, and melted cheeses served with potatoes. The taste was incredible and I yearn to return! I have never experienced this style of food before. I have to mention that deserts were also very good.
We made reservations for both of our evening visits, and i would suggest that this is a necessity for such a popular restaurant.
I highly recommend the restaurant and we will definitely return if we return to the area.
