Charbonnel restaurant seats on a river that forms the island of Brantome and the views from the open areas are great. The food is well presented and well made. My veal was simply delicious. The staff was really trying hard to make us feel as guests not just customers.
Also - as I live in New York metro area - the price of a menu of 48 Euro per person appeared quite affordable for the value, ambiance and overall experience.
I would highly recommend it to travelers passing through the area - just do not forget to make reservations as the place fills quickly!
