“A little gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013

We decided to stay in Brantome and this small hotel at the last minute and we weren't disappointed. It is easy to find and park near the pedestrian street. We had the "Caramel" room on the second floor. Unfortunately there is no lift but we were offered help with our luggage. We were given a very warm welcome and a short guided tour of the property. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was huge. There was no TV in the room but this is explained in advance and is no problem for us. We had an excellent night's sleep. Breakfast was very good and could be served on the terrace if warm. It represented excellent value for money and we certainly hope to return when we travel by car next time to our house in Spain. As it was a Monday night not many restaurants were open but we can recommend Les Saveurs.

Room Tip: We liked the caramel room!

This small chambre d'hôtes in the centre of Brantome was unexpectedly good. The couple who run it were very welcoming despite their busy tea rooms/ restaurant . The room was much larger than we anticipated with a huge bathroom. The only disadvantage was that it was up on the second floor so no good if you have loads of luggage or are generally unfit.
Breakfast was at a table with other guests 2 of whom were also up and about early, so it was a good test of our French conversational skills. A typical French breakfast with homemade conserves including a pumpkin jam which was delicious.
Well worth a stop

Great location in Brantome close to everything....although Brantome is not big and most places are short distances away. Friendly and helpful host who offerd good sightseeing suggestions. Room was charming and very quiet with a balcony looking out onto a quiet street.....at least it was quiet when we were there. Good value option.

We drove to Brontome and found this centrally located B&B and tea house by chance walking through the village. What was a lunch stop ended up being a 4 night stay in this enchanting French area.
Lovely town with canoeing, historical buildings, walks, cycling, shopping and within cycling distance to nearby villages or driving to other attractions like Lascaux II.
The rooms were large, well appointed and clean. Free WiFi and a shared dining and coffee making room opening to a terrace was handy.
Free and safe public parking a short walk away for your vehicle.
Sandrine & Sebastien are lovely, helpfull and informative hosts and I have a feeling we will be back in Brontome again. The town has a good feel about it and able to provide everything we wanted from a holiday in France.

We first stayed Au Nid desThes when we were house hunting in the region. Sandrine and Sebastien's warm welcome, wonderful food and great taste in interior design kept us coming back and back. When we finally bought our own house - which is still a building site - we began sending our guests to Au Nid des Thes, because there's no friendlier place in Brantome and we always know they'll be well looked-after.
I can't recommend this beautiful little B&B enough. The fact that also has a tea-room with a truly remarkable selection of teas and coffes, and Sandrine does the loveliest lunches, only adds to its huge appeal.

Room Tip: There's only a handful of rooms, but they're all good (I've tried them all) and there...

We just returned from a trip to France that included two nights at this lovely B&B. Our room was large and well equipped, particularly the well renovated en-suite bathroom. The Au Nid des Thes is located very centrally in Brantome and provides easy access to all sections of this historic centre. Sandrine provides a delighful breakfast in a charming dining room overlooking the river and we particularly enjoyed the homemade pastries and jam. We found this accommodation on Trip Advisor and would certainly recommend it to family and friends.

We spent two nights in this delightful b& b in July. Our room, Caramel, had been tastefully modernised and had a very nice bathroom. We breakfasted on the little terrace &enjoyed the fresh breads & homemade preserves. This was a last minute booking and was a delightful spot in Brantome from which to enjoy this lovely region.
