We arrived early but our room was ready for us. Very comfortable room with super double (two shower heads) shower and great air-con. We had a small balcony with a view to the water mill. Parking right outside our room. The dining room is lovely but we ate on the terrace as it was a warm evening. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a bit out of Brantome, which suited us fine as the town is very touristy and busy, however worth a visit. The owners were charming. We had been some years before and were happy to experience it once more, run by the same family.

Moulin de Vigonac is a small hotel within a walking (25 min) distance to Brantome Abbey. It is a small beautiful place with only 10 rooms to rent. The rooms are cozy and totally not "hotel-like". The owners go out of their way to make your stay nice and pleasant. They are really a fantastic family!
The place is a refurbished mill as the name implies, which adds to the charm of the grounds.
The hotel is in the beautiful Brantome and within easy drive from Perrigueaux, Bergerac and its wineries.
The owners also serve dinner (you have to make reservation) and the meal was first class.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in that region.

Just had a couple of nights here at the end of our trip and it was a super welcome from the Alexeline Family when we arrived. From start to finish they really seemed to want to ensure that you enjoyed your stay with them. Dinner on the terrace of the old mill building was a lovely evening with good food - cooked by Mr Alexeline himself. We had room Joanna which was a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the pool.

What a fantastic hotel. Just outside the beautiful river town of Brantôme (20 min walk), this small converted mill is beautifully situated on the banks of the Dronne.

Run by the family that converted the Mill, the customer service was flawless from the beginning and throughout. The hotel consists of a number of converted buildings, all of which have been finished to a very high standard with luxurious fittings and air conditioning. We were in a luxe room (Cassandra) that was very large with a huge comfy bed, vast bathroom and private balcony. It was brilliant!

The hotel restaurant equalled the room. The food was excellent, well prepared and accompanied by lovely wine. The outdoor seating area was really nice overlooking the river and the service was great.

The Moulin de Vigonac is not cheap, but it justifies the price as it is excellent. We would love to return!

This is a lovely hotel. Starting with its setting in extensive grounds and the soothing effect of running water in the background. The hosts are delightful. We were greeted by them in the car park and shown to our room where time was taken to explain the whereabouts of everything and how everything worked. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. All in all, our overnight stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. A great way to start our holiday in the Dordogne.
