Whilst walking back to our hotel we passed this restaurant at lunch time and, after poking our heads inside and looking at the menu, decided to book for the evening. We are so glad we did. It's a small restaurant with spavc for about 6 or 7 tables catering to approximately 20-30 people. It is wise to reserve in advance. We both opted for the Eur30 menu and, together with drinks, wine and coffee, this was one of the best value for money restaurants we've ever come across. Our food was excellent with imaginitive mixture of flavours and superbly cooked. The lime soufle is the best I've ever had! With only a little more style this restaurant would be worthy of a michelin star.

We've been trying out the restaurants in Agen over the last few months and decided to try this one based on its ratings and comments in Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed as it lived up to its reputation and we had a great evening.
The ambiance was very good, only about 7 or 8 tables but well layed out and very cosy. Service was very attentive all evening - extremely professional.
We went for the 3 course set menu at Eur 24.50 and had a great meal. My souffle was amazing.
A nice bottle of chilled rose (Buzet Lys) was only Eur13 so the whole evening was great value for money. We'd certainly recommend this restaurant to couples and friends, not so much families with kids.

A small restaurant with impeccable service and mouthwatering dishes.
The perfect combination of a husband chef with unique skills and a wife who understands all ins and outs of hospitality. The souffle is probably the best dessert I have ever eaten anywhere. Considering the quality of the food and the service, prices are very reasonable. A must-do when in Agen!

Right in the heart of the city, this discreet restaurant occupying an old house with simple décor but well-spaced tables deservedly enjoys Bib Gourmand status in the Michelin Guide Rouge. On a luncheon visit, we opted for their 5-course 35-euro menu that proved to be deliciously inexpensive and of excellent quality. Each course but one offered a choice, although my wife and I both started off with the outstanding Soupe de Coques et Moules Saffronee --- an eggy velvety-textured broth stuffed with shell- free crustaceans tasting of marine heaven topped by a mountain of crème fraiche.
Next up, I selected the Filets of Rouget and my wife the Dos de Cabillaud, both dishes beautifully prepared and resting on a creamy risotto. For the mains, I had a whole Riz de Veau and my wife a splendidly rare beef fillet, both dishes garnished with a splendid array of vegetables of e very color, including mashed purple potatoes, courgettes, and black salsify shredded into a pasta-like consistency.
The cheese plate ( no choice) comprised a local brebis ( ewe’s milk ) served with a rich cherry sauce, and Tete de Moines (Swiss) sliced into elegant whorls of cabbage-like shape. To conclude, my wife had a huge Souffle of Grand Marnier , as good as it gets and enough for three persons, while I tackled a masterful thickly-carmelized Tarte Tatin with coffee-carmel ice cream. A generous plate of mignardises and a glass of thick chocolate cream came with our coffees. The standard of cooking teetered on the edge of a star, and the service was utterly faultless. Highly recommended.
