Great place to base for exploring the region(we were on road bikes and there are great climbs/descents routes in Vosges plus long flat runs along the Rhine)
Clean,tidy, very helpful staff,comfortable rooms,good value for money, 50% off 4th nights,
have stayed here 4 times since 1999 and always can trust this place for reliability

Just outside the town walls, this hotel has ample parking and nice rooms. We did not use the pool, but there was one. We booked an upgraded room for slightly more than a regular room- glad we did. The upgraded rooms are airconditioned, which we needed while we were there. I don't know what regular rooms have. Ours had a safe, coffee/tea service, a free bottle of water , a mini-bar, toiletries, and ample towels, but no robes.

The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. We had an end of the corridor room and found ourselves lucky to be equipped with a very large terrace, with patio furniture and an umbrella. We looked out over the vineyards, which inspired us to take a walk up and look down over the town- lovely. We were very pleased to have that terrasse!

We had drinks on the bar terrasse. The server was an exceptionally friendly young woman, and the drinks (non-alcoholic) were reasonably priced.

Front desk was easy- the room had been assigned before we arrived, so check in was very quick. Check out was also easy. All employees were friendly.

I would stay here again. Probably the best hotel I've stayed at on the Route des Vins. My only complaint is lack of light-blocking curtains. Not an issue most of the year, but with short nights in mid-summer, might affect your sleep.

Room Tip: The end closest to the city wall had rooms with terrasses.

Riquewihr is one of the most charming and romantic town in the wine road, and worth a visit even if you don't stay to sleep. But you should, because it's a great place to stay over night and experience the magic of the town also in the evening. The beautiful houses, the great restaurants, the wine testing... The hotel is in a walking distance from the old center, clean and has a friendly staff. We also had a beautiful view over vineyards. But the bed wasn't comfortable and the room was small.

Best Western chain hotel that is above expectations. We upgraded our room when we arrived to one with aircon as it was in the high 30's and I'm so pleased we did. We had an 'attic' room that was spacious, well-laid out and had an excellent bathroom.

Staff were efficient and friendly and we got a discount for staying 3 nights (50% off one night) that paid for the upgraded room!

Easy to find, easy to park and located right next to Riquewihr, which is a very nice village to eat/drink in, if a little overrun during the day. We spent a day in Strasbourg (top tip, take the A35 tto Starsbourg, come off at Junc 5 Baggersee Park and Ride, and use the tram to get in; easy, stress free and only cost €3 for two) and the temperature rose to 39 Deg so we left early afternoon and came back to use the pool! Most appreciated that day.

Good base for visiting all the local villages and we especially enjoyed Colmar which is a gem. Bottom line is, I would use this hotel again and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: In the Summer book airconditioning.

I would say that the location and the breakfast is the best at this hotel. The rooms have no AC!!, very hot and the pillows where hard and high. Very clean but furniture and floors needs an update. We had a nice view over vineyards and the location is great, just a short stroll to the old village. The breakfast was really good for being in France where breakfast mostly is a croissant and an expresso. They had fresh fruit, wonderful yogurt and fromage blanc, great bread and any kind of coffee you can think of.

Room Tip: Eat at La Table du Gourmet you won't regret it! We still talk about it!

We had no problems locating the hotel which was just at the entrance of town. Car parking was a breeze. Our 2 nights stay in Le Schoenenbourg was pleasant and comfortable. All 3 of us enjoyed the view from our window of the vineyard and the short walk to the centre of town where you will find restaurants and cafes. We had clean rooms, towels, coffee & tea too. The staff were helpful and made dinners reservations promptly and reaffirmed by calling our room to inform us. Their recommendations were excellent as was the food in L grappa'or & Sacrement. On checking out we decided to asked if the hotel has seen or found a wallet which we thought we lost in a restaurant 2 days ago, they say a guest from the Nordic country found it and returned it to the reception.!. There were quite a bit of money , all intact. We would like to thank the finder and the staff of Schoenenbourg for their honesty. It was a great ending to our stay,in fact when I called the hotel to make ammendments from Paris they were equally great in responding and emailing me the change upon my request. We would stay here again and so should you!

Room Tip: WHile our room was nice on level 1, it could be better if one request for a higher floor.
