An idyllic setting and pretty restaurant, quite a ride through the woods to get there! I enjoyed meeting the beautiful Pigs, and the giant Dogs were a blast. But that poor little unloved Bunny, a living decoration, lonely, permanently in a small box. Poor Little Guy. I feel sad now, just thinking of him still sitting there, no chance to run or to stretch those long back legs. He never dug a hole. Heartbreaker.
The room was run down, and unforgivably, offered a really old, concave mattress. This led to 2 sleepless nights. The shower had a lot of black mold, and I did not use it. Breakfast was no bargain - limited bread, and a choice of butter and jam, If you wanted an egg, cheese or ham you had to select from a menu at extra cost. Cheap trick.
Otherwise, the setting is bucolic, and the ideal place to really get away from it all. I would go back were it not for the bad beds. I wish hotels were required to state the age and condition of that most important necessity - the mattress?
