The fourth villages we have visited in one day in the Alsace started in the morning till in the afternoon. Eguisheim is one of the superb places I've seen that day. If you plan of visiting the Alsace, I recommend highlighting Eguisheim on your list.

This was our favourite village in the Alsace region. It is absolutely beautiful and is a must see if in the area. There is a circular self guided walking route around the village and is very easy for all abilities. Look out the stork nests on the roof tops.
One of the nicer Alsace villages. More than just a High Street. Like everywhere, better first thing before it gets busy, or in the evening.
This is the second time that we visit Eguisheim and if I am back to Alsace, I will go again. The pattern of the streets is amazing, the peculiar shops they have, do not miss the mushroom shop. Friendly people and lots and lots of history. My favorite town in Alsace, no question about it.
I chuckled when I saw a previous review saying that this is a tiny village, because although it isn’t particularly big - the main cobbled street seemed to stretch quite a way. It made for a lovely walk however and I have to say that, having visited many Alsace towns and villages over the years, Eguisheim is definitely one of the loveliest.
Certainly a place I would recommend as “must see”.
Chanced upon this village while on the way to Colmar. It is a tiny but cute and beautiful village and buildings are kept in their old grandeur.
Stop by, take a stroll and have some lunch- time spent here is very well worth it!
