Hotel excellent location right in the centre of this beautiful town. Clean room, comfy bed but don't expect to sleep. arrived after a day of 8 hours travel on route from Italy to UK with another 8 hours travelling the following day, so in need of a good sleep. Hotel also had a bar and restaurant facilities, to access room 101 you had to squeeze past tables of diners. The room was a side annex to the hotel alongside the alfresco dining area with windows on two sides of the bedroom overlooking these diners. Very warm no air conditioning and after 12.30am still too much noise to sleep even with windows closed.(the staff sat down outside our window chatting after the customers had left) The bathroom curtain didn't cover the windows which were clear glass overlooking a ground level lane, so no privacy. Same rate as much better rooms. A hand held shower in bath with no overhead holder or shower curtain. Breakfast not included in room rate of £91.20 (approx 110 euro's) an extra 10 euro's each for breakfast. On complaining following day offered breakfast as compensation but eager to leave and given a bottle of wine as apology. Wifi although free does not work in room 101. Make sure you have a room in the main hotel building when booking, preferably to the rear. Rear garden and secure parking.

Room Tip: Ask for room in main hotel building not the side annex, preferably the rear and definitely not room...

We didn't stay at the hotel but we ate there a couple of nights while staying in Eguisheim.
The first night we ate very well but had a bit of delay between one course and another as they were full. That said they have been so nice that we came back the night after and enjoy the gorgeous food. It's expensive but good service and good food come with it so, worth trying.

Surprised to read the poor reviews of the hotel rooms - of which I have no experience. However, we regularly have lunch at this restaurant during the week when you get a three course meal for around 10 euros a head. Never been disappointed. Fresh produce and an imaginative chef. Portions could be smaller! An amuse-bouche is always served if you take an aperitif and it is always delicious. Shady terrace outside and Inside the restaurant is tastefully decorated. Careful, attentive service from young waiters (possibly in training).

We stayed here for one night en route to Italy in June.

The hotel is located on a very pretty street just down from the centre. Parking for the hotel is round the back, you get directions and a pass code from reception.

We arrived late afternoon on a very hot day so decided to have a few drinks at the tables in the courtyard. For some reason we had one of those annoying waitresses who seems to take pleasure in ignoring everybody and when eventually she does takes your order returns with the wrong items. The staff that took over for dinner service were a little better but why do they treat their job so seriously, they don't create a convivial atmosphere. The food was good, typically over 'cheffed' French food which is OK for one night but not for me every night.

Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard, the room itself was fine but the bed was two small singles pushed together and made up seperately, hence they kept separating. The room was big enough for a king size, I don't understand why so many hotels have inadequate beds.

Breakfast was pleasant with some nice local meats and cheeses.

Great secure car parking at the rear.
Good modern large rooms at the rear with close access to car park and away from a busier (noiser) street. Dining in courtyard was lovely, and the breakfast room simple but food, quantity and quality abound (I guess that what attracted all the Germans that were staying when we did).
Staff couldn't have been more helpful, the only downside was the WiFi which was a bit ghit and miss and having to get a fresh access code every day.

I would return again without doubts!
