I have been coming to this restaurant my entire life with family and friends. It used to be a great place for ice cream desserts, pancakes, snack foods and such, but the past years, the service has become virtually non-existant, and the food increasingly lacking.
I decided to give it one more try this summer, so we went for ice cream desserts. Poire Belle Helene and Africana. Neither dessert had chokolate sauce (which, let's be honest, makes them kinda bland) nor almonds or anything to make them at least look like they were worth 10 euros a piece. And the waitress and waiter were too busy giggling, flirting and being super obnoxious to the customers, to care about any of it. Come on: an ice cream dessert should be easy enough to get right, right?
Perhaps if original patron Popaul was back in charge, instead of son Pierre, but I don't know.
