“Average food and very poor service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

We ordered the pâtes à la langouste. The lobster may have been fresh, but it was not well prepared. It was chewy and dry at the same time. The spaghetti was the only thing that was enjoyable, but it was a lot of money for a plate of pasta. One other person at our table ordered the loup (sea bass), which was a poor quality fish that was too soft and had absolutely no seasoning. It was certainly a farm-raised fish and was poorly prepared. When we complained the waitress made no effort. She seemed offended. To top it off the ice cream was just a poor quality industrial brand. The view was the only nice thing about it.

“A Bit Pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

Went here for dinner one night on a recent visit to Porticcio. The good news? The location and views are amazing, try and get there early enough for dusk if you can. The bad news? Its quite pricey and very busy - and the service was a struggling to keep up on the night we were there, we had to wait an awful long time for our food, although it was all cooked well enough when we finally got it.

“Stunning location and setting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2011

This restaurant is situated right on the bay just outside Porticcio at Agosta beach. There is an outdoor terrace which is covered and an indoor area. A word of warning, they price the fish of the day by 100g and on the day we were there it was €7/100g. To be fair they did warn us but we got carried away with the location and the desire to have fresh fish. However, on receiving the bill for €77 for the fish alone we sobered up!! You have been warned. The menu is Coriscan/French. The charcuterie plate starter was very generous and was delicious. We also had a terrine of salmon which was tasty and nicely presented. The exorbitantly priced fish was barbequed and was fresh and nicely cooked. The owner came out with the fish of the day on a tray for our inspection which I thought was a nice touch. The fish was served with rice and a puree of what tasted like swede. It was tasty but not a nice texture and was very yellow in colour (see picture). The veg were frozen! No excuse for this in this climate. We had a bottle of house Rose which was fine. We had one creme brulee for dessert, very eggy and solid and not a lot of carmelised sugar on top. The bill for two came to €150. Much too expensive for what we had received.
