We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The rooms are spacious with balcony; bed, bathroom, airco and WiFi more than OK, but the great advantage of this hotel is the pool, annex jacuzzi, on the top floor with a marvellous view over Calvi and the golf. Really amazing. Also the staf was very friendly, giving some good adresses for diner.
One, little, disadvantage: the hotel is located on a rather high location, so, if you're a little bit older, the climb from the city can be exhausting, certainly with the heat...
For breakfast (€12) I recommand some cozy adresses in the city (€6.50)...

We had gone to the Office de Tourisme to find a place to stay and initially didn't want to stay here because the room available had a sofa bed (we were 2 couples), but there weren't other hotels available. It turned out to be a lovely, very roomy suite, with two balconies looking at the bay. Even with the hotel across the street partially blocking the view, it was a nice view. The sofa bed was just as roomy and comfortable as a "regular" hotel bed! We used the roof-top pool (heated) and sat on the roof-top terrace. The location was quite good - it was maybe a 15 minute walk to the citadel and less down to the bay. It was pricier than we had been paying in other towns in Corsica, but we didn't mind.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on one of the highest floors in order to have the best view.

Stayed in a nice sized room on the 2nd floor so not much of a view except of the peak of the mountains and a glimpse of the sea, and with a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The bathroom and wc were together and the wc area was very cramped. The shower hose did not have a high wall fixing and the screen was rather long so you had to climb in at the end of the bath. The hotel is modern and well presented but up a very steep hill on a busy road in a not particular pleasant area of town when you are walking back from town late at night. Rather than the expensive buffet breakfast which did not look very comprehensive we went to excellent boulangerie next door. Having looked around town there are probably better hotels in better locations but it was ok for a two day stay. The roof top pool and jacuzzi were great with great views but the sauna and steam room were not on and you had to request reception. I was not able to have a massage at short notice so this obviously needs to be booked up well ahead.

Dear Guest

We thank you for your comment. We are glad to know that you had a nice stay.
Yes, that's true, the massage need to be reserved in advance. About the sauna and hammam, we can not leave them on all day if nobody use it. That's why you can ask for it and in 30 min it's ready.

We just had the one night here but it was perfectly fine with the added bonus of a late check out so we could spend some time beside their very lovely pool before we caught the train later in the day .
The pool is on the roof and it was deserted , warm and very luxurious - great big towels provided !
Only problem was the tricky shower - I just couldn't find the switch which turned the tap into a shower !

We had a 2 week stay in Calvi during September 2016 and chose the Mariana based on all its amenities. It wasn't cheap by any means but neither was it the most expensive in Calvi.

The room itself was nice with a superb view. Sound proofing from other noisier guests wasn't great but we weren't around that much to be annoyed. We were a little disappointed that the hotel wasn't offering anything other than a buffet breakfast and pool snacks on the food front. We'd heard great things about the evening dining but it seemed we'd arrived end of season and everyone was on wind down. Breakfast was continental buffet and if that was too much there was a lovely patisserie next door for coffee and a croissant. Cheaper too! ;-)

The pool was awesome and the gym had enough decent equipment to keep your cardio up to scratch if the mountains weren't your cup of tea. Hot tub, sauna and steam room were all there if you wanted them.

Wind down seemed to have hit the maintenance too as we had a few niggles with the bathroom which never got sorted during our stay. That said, it didn't impact our holiday at all.

The staff, the room, the view, the snacks, the drinks were all lovely! English could be an amusing problem but we got by with a smile. That was our problem, not theirs!

Thanks Mariana.

Dear Guest

We thank you very much for taking time to write this nice comment.
We do not have a restaurant, and never served food at night, so maybe it was a confusion with the people who told you that.
Anyway we hope that we will welcome you again.
