This hotel is run more like a pension than a normal hotel. Very simple breakfast, plain rooms. As many of the hotels in Corsica, extremely overpriced. The curly nice polish lady in the receptions is both friendly and helpful, in contrary to the two french reception staff. They basicly have the classic french attitude, which is mostly arrogant and less helpful/serviceminded.

Hotel Le Saint Erasme falls into a big category of hotels in Corsica. Overprised and very basic.

But the location is great. Short walk into the city, in reasonable distance to the life in Calvi.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights here and will hopefully come back some time. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. We had a small balcony with beautiful sea views. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that the wi-fi is very poor. If it were not for that we would have given 5 stars.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a sea view. It is worth it.

We are currently staying at the hotel, we arrived yesterday and checked into room 207, check in was great, Marina was very pleasant and helpful, with good English language. Room is very good, large bedroom, comfy large bed, good sized bathroom and annexe with two single beds. There are dividing curtains if you had others staying in the room. The balcony is amazing, fantastic view of the bay and lighthouse, two loungers and four chairs and a table. We had a lovely evening and enjoyed a quiet drink on our balcony before retiring to bed at 9.30pm, as we had had a long day travelling with an early start. We had heard our neighbours in their room enjoying themselves watching a sporting match in their room on the tv, but not enough to bother us. We were in a nice sleep, when about 10.30pm we were awoken by loud banging on our door, my partner went to the door with just a towel to cover his modesty, and was met by a male employee who spoke no English but was trying to make my partner understand whatever he was saying but as we sadly speak and understand very little French we hadn't a clue what he was saying. He then left us and we eventually got back to sleep perplexed by why he had woken us at that time of night. This morning we went down to enjoy breakfast and was met by the same male employee, when we told him our room number he again started to say something we didn't really understand but gathered he was saying about noise the previous evening, we both tried to tell him we had heard our neighbours too but we were able to sleep so no problem until he woke us up!! Breakfast was ok, we opted for the Corsican style and were given a bread roll, selection of meat and cheese and an egg each that we had to boil ourselves! Along with a hot drink and juice. During breakfast we spoke about if the male thought it was us making the noise, so after breakfast wanted to check with reception that wasn't the case. A guest spoke about the noise and had obviously complained to reception the previous evening and a result the male employee came to reception and a very heated conversation occurred with the guest translating, it was clear the employee had been knocking on the wrong door but he was so rude and didn't even acknowledge his error or apologise, he just stormed off. The guest translating who had complained the previous evening apologised for the error, as did the receptionist however as a result of the male employees attitude we will not be having breakfast or drinks from the bar for the remainder of our stay.
Otherwise all good!!!

Room Tip: Have a privilege room if you can

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was a good size and had a balcony with an amazing view! The rooms are also nicely decorated. The bathrooms are also quite nice and big. :) The hotel isn't in the center but it's close enough that you can walk.

Fairly typical, slightly dated, 3 star hotel. Rooms are functional, with small balconies. Fantastic location, on a beautiful quiet coastline, away from the hectic town centre, but still a convenient 5-7min walk away. Lovely swimming pool with sun beds and nice views.
