A short drive out of Calvi on the southern coast road is this wonderful hillside chapel with the most fantastic view. Go early before the tourist coaches and you have the view to yourselves. There is a good annotated map table to show what you are looking at.

We walked from A Merula apartments, up past La Villa hotel to the Chapelle every day of our holiday and then back down the main road back into Calvi. We loved the walk and it was a good view at the top. Whole walk takes about 2 hours. The Chapelle is also pretty.

Nelson sieged Calvi from here and the views are stunning. There is a footpath up the hill, which is for the brave but the only option if you don't have transport

We walked up from Calvi town, following signs for La Villa (hotel) and then on to a footpath through the scrub. It was steep in parts, and when we got to the top the chapel was shut and there were two coachloads of tourists swarming around. Once they'd gone we had the place to ourselves for 20 minutes and it was so peaceful, with terrific views.
