We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights as we explored Calvi and surrounding towns and country. The staff were very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. We had a balcony (which we did not expect) which we enjoyed each morning for our breakfast and lunch. There was a fridge and safe (both at no extra charge)in our room, which were very handy. The room was of moderate size with a very comfortable bed and a lot of storage space. The bathroom was modern and very clean. Although there was no place to put soap or shampoo in the shower stall, we managed. Although our room faced Wilson Street which was very busy during the day it was very quiet at night. Grocery stores, boulangeries and any other type of shop we might need was a short walk away. The Citadel, restaurants, the beach and the port were all within a 1-2 minute walk. This is a very friendly, accommodating, well located hotel that we would recommend to all.

Room Tip: Request the balcony(not sure that all rooms have one). We also requested that a fridge be in our room.

Centrally located with a short stroll down to the shops. Friendly staff, albeit not too many of them (receptionist had to bring up our bathroom supplies). Top floor mezzanine rooms (for 4) are great - with mini-terrace and view over the sea and Citadel. Parking shared with the Abbaye Hotel nearby (but not too nearby): if arriving by car, it can be a stressful unloading on a single track busy road. Wifi a bit slow too.

This hotel is as central as it gets. We used it as a base for two nights in Calvi, and it was perfect for this. Modern, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly.

If you are traveling as a family, try to get one of the top floor rooms with the mezzanine. It has a large balcony overlooking the port, roofs, and bay of Calvi. Only the rooms at that height have the view, and it's worth it!! They are also far away from any street noise.

Calvi has such a beautiful beach, fun shopping, a nice little hike up to the historic heights and absolutely take a little cruise to the UNESCO site "Scandola". The room was clean and spacious…..Breakfast was overpriced at 12Euros….Anyway, we went to the Super U up the street and got groceries and a few paper dishes and we had plenty of room in our refrigerator for yogurt, milk, etc…… Every morning we went down for complimentary coffee & tea…..The staff at the desk was nice, but not too savvy about where to eat or what to do. The little bureau of tourism was fantastic. Oh, the wifi was terrible! Beds very good…...

Room Tip: This hotel is right on the main drag, so book a room facing the side-streets, if possible…..those loud motor-cross bikes should have mufflers, but they simply do not! The kids who ride them are nocturnal as well…..

The amenities of this hotel are very attractive and comfortable, with helpful staff.
The central situation is ideal for the train or bus from/to other destinations. Easy walk for the old citadel and all local restaurants, boat services or other activities.
Obviously Calvi is a beach holiday venue but for the more mature, there are still other things to do. Sadly there do not seem to be any out of town local buses for short trips to adjacent villages, but the regular train service to Ile Rousse and along the coast is attractive and useful.
The small downside is street noise, especially those pesky scooters later at night.
As usual in most of 'France' the lack of tea making facility in rooms is disappointing.

Room Tip: Probably higher floors are further from street noise.
