Mylopotras Beach is a long crescent beach with a yellow fine sand accessed by a steep winding road, A great beach for Greece. The beach fronts a beach road with a fair few tavernas/restaurants. There is plenty of space and dinners/umbrellas are provided by tavernas that service their area with drinks & snacks. In early September 2 beds & an umbrella are 8€ (1 bed & brolly is no problem 5€) . The only downside of the beach is that there are rocks in the first few yards of the sea front.

This is a well run beach with many cafes along the strip. In September, when we stayed there, it was not crowded or noisy. There are water sports available.

It’s a nice place to catch some sun and then sit with a drink at one of the restaurants. Great water if you’re a swimmer.

Mylopotas beach is sandy, beautiful clear water. Didn't use the sunbeds as i stayed at IOS Palace Hotel. Lots of lovely restaurants on the back of the beach. Plenty to do, relax or hire a boat, go on a boat trip.

A short drive from the Hora. It is a well organized loooooong beach with lots of water sports opportunities from kayaks to Scuba.

If you go to Mylopotas, rent umbrellas closest to the resort on the North side. That general area has the best beach, in terms of sand and such. We rented in the middle and did not care much about the water and large rocks in it.

Don’t overlook Drako’s Taverna locates at the opposite end of the beach.

We visited Mylopotas twice this year on our holiday in Ios and really enjoyed it. However you need to walk to the far end to get into the sea easily otherwise it’s a bit difficult due to the rocks and stones. The sunbeds with umbrella ranged from 5 to 8 euros depending on which part of the beach you were on but still reasonable compared with Spain. When you pay for the beds they give you the WiFi code for the area and it’s a very good signal. Behind the beach are lots of lovely restaurants that offer waiter service on the beach. Our favourite place is Karma after coming off the beach for good food, great views and nice wine!

Water is great, sun beds not to expensive and great beach service. There’s plenty to choose the whole way down from food to drinks to just taking it easy.

This is a great sandy beach (for Greece) and has lots of facilities.
There is lots of space for everyone and the sunbeds are not too close together.
