The property is far from all the famous beaches of goa, you need to travel atleast 25-30 mins to reach any beach.. The rooms are huge and nice with very clean bathrooms.. some of the rooms had a damp smell.. We were lucky to have a non smelly room.. I guess the rooms on the ground floor are better.. Food is horrible.. would not recommend to take meals in the hotel not even breakfast.. Room service is very slow.. so place your orders well in advance..

Room Tip: Rooms on Ground Floor

Had to vacate after staying the night (would have vacated but was too late in the night).
You can find cobwebs, dust, hair all over the place.
Even after the staff came and cleaned the room at our request it was hardly habitable.
Location is a good 7-8 kms from the beach as well.

Its a fabulous property - badly managed. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped - furniture is very good and the bed was kingsize. However the service of the hotel is pathetic. There's no phone directory or menu in the room - so you don't know what number to call for housekeeping or for ordering food. It took them 45 minutes to deliver a menu to the room for ordering food. And of course the food is horrible - simply unpalatable. The breakfast menu is very very basic with the bread toasted in advance - served cold and hard. There's no fruits in the breakfast buffet and orange squash is served as fresh fruit juice. We asked for a bucket in the room and was served with one which had a crack at the bottom - effectively rendering it useless. they are running the place with skeletal staff. The room is however the USP of the place vey spacious and confortable. The pool was also clean. But the flipside of this property is that it is far from the beach - the nearest beach is 8 to 10 km away. And it is very cut away from the main road with not even a cigarette shop nearby.

This used to previously be a time share property which also does business conferences. The service is not that great and the rooms can be better kept. However, the place looks pretty nice lit up at night. The next big thing - food? Well..the food is not authentic Goan food and is overrated - the swimming pool has a bar which is not utilized and the crowd is somewhat a typical family holiday crowd. So if your going to Goa for a vacation with friends this is definitely not the best place. I would not write home about it wrt conferences either. Been there, trained there. Would not do so again...and where is the Vista do Rio - there is no Rio(river) after all.

looking at the photos we booked this place. The rooms were so bad that we could see coack roaches come out of everywhere. Just keep a plate of food and in 5 minutes u could see them around that place. This was the saddest thing there. The food was nice and the pool had a nice bar. The place would have been bettter if they take good care of the rooms.
