We have a busy guest house in the old city and have been trying to find somewhere not to far away where we can take a much needed relaxing break.

We can definitely say we have now found the perfect place in the Getaway Chiang Mai Resort and Spa.

Only 45 minutes on the bike from the city centre and really easy to find even though it's an oasis in the middle of nowhere.

The resort is beautiful and you immediately get that serene relaxed feeling as soon as you check in.

The staff are very friendly and really helpful.

The pool areas have a very tropical feel and are a great place to wind down.

The rooms are superbly decorated in a traditional Lanna style and extremely comfortable.

The breakfasts in the mornings and foods served all day are delicious.

We can honestly say that we will use this resort on a regular basis whenever we need a break from our guest house.

Thank you to all the staff for making it a weekend to remember.

We will see you again soon :-)

This place is the perfect place to relax and unwind . Lovely staff , very friendly and helpful. Immaculately clean room, hot water bath and shower. The pool area is like an oasis with a cafe available all day serving food and drink . Bikes are available at no extra cost and can enjoy a leisurely bike ride to Sankamphang hot spring less than 2 km away. Everywhere is well maintained. Love this place ! We will be back for sure.

We stayed nearby in Mae On to go climbing at Crazy Horse Buttress, and everything was closed for Songkran weekend. We ate at the restaurant each night and they were able to accommodate my gluten free needs quite well. I didn't get sick and the food was delicious. Very lucky and enjoyable for me, as there isn't a lot of choice other than local establishments where they don't speak English as well, and harder to meet my gluten free needs.

We live nearby at the Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Resort and have been to Crystal for lunches and dinners. The decor is uniquely beautiful with indor and outdoor dining available. Everytime we go we have a hard time choosing what to eat because it is all delicious. We are always told that the chef is happy to make us anything we would like. There are some delicious Thai Specialties as well as a variety of International dishes. We always take our guests there and are grateful to have a restaurant of this quality so close to home!

We stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't find fault with anything! The staff were superb and helped me celebrate my birthday in style. The most important thing to take into consideration when booking is the distance from Chiang Mai city as it takes an hour, though a shuttle is provide which runs twice daily. If you are looking to relax, in comfort and enjoy good food Getaway is for you. After a hectic time it was very relaxing for us both.
A big thank you so all the staff
