had an absolutely fantastic 9 days with them over christmas this year. the whole family who run the place could not have been more friendly and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant and what we wanted. rooms were basic but very clean and made up everyday for us with clean sheets and towels. we stopped in the moonlight beauty barn and loved the downstairs open living room. my daughter found the open air bathroom quite bizarre but where else could you get a sun tan whilst showering. :)
the only downside was the noise of dogs and cockerels at night but we were that tired from busy days they never effected us as we thought they would.
the bicycles that they have for you to use were a godsend to get out and about to discover the local area (they provided a local map detailing markets, 7-11's, atms, cell phone top ups etc) as you are quite in the back of beyond which we wanted. free wifi as well on site.
meals were delicious and not spicy, with lunches and evening meals so so cheap 50B for each meal!
Nong and Koko were a great host and helped plan our wedding whilst we were with them and using koko for trips out worked out cheaper and a more personal day out then being ferried on a tour group. Nong proved and inciteful tour guide givng lots of local information we wouldnt have gained going on our own.

as i said 5* A++ brilliant place make it a must on your travels to chiang mai.

We stayed for five nights in December 2012 with out 2 children. The house was fantastic and we had lots of fun on site fishing in the pond and riding round the villages on bicycles. Nong was very helpful with suggestions of things to do and see and would always take us and collect us from any excursions. The food was excellent, particularly the Thai welcome banquet! We were in Thailand for 3 weeks but this was definitely the highlight of our trip.

This place was wonderful for our family. My kids loved the bikes, and we took morning bike rides through the village. The hut was rustic and comfortable, and Nong, Koko, and the staff are warm and friendly. We took the mountain trip and thanks to Koko came across some women harvesting ant larvae. Food was excellent and so reasonably priced, as were the massages. We all had so much fun and would definitely stay there again!

My partner and I loved our 4 night stay! Everyone is so warm and welcoming! A great place to relax - we had excellent massages! Get the banquet while you are there... Amazing food we were so full we could barely walk afterwards! We even got taken to the local whiskey bar!

You will find yourself in a lovely and quiet place a few kilometers away from Chiang Mai and its numerous tourist traps. Nights become only noisy by the sound of frogs and birds around the village. Ban Chungsongsang Homestay offers the possibility to experience 'real' Thai life - you might be able to visit the local night market by bike or join a ceremony at the nearby community temple. The service is excellent and Nong and Koko are the warmest hosts in the world - or at least in Thailand. They make you feel like a family member!
