Well done to all the staff in the hotel especially Bernie on reception who could not have been nicer. Food in the dining room was excellent, Great Nights entertainment at the fashion show fab. A special thank you to Helen in the spa - fantastic facial. Out door Hot tub amazing, rooms lovely. Would certainly return and would most definitely recommend this hotel to all. Jackie

To follow up on our recent review (service second to none part1) now for the good stuff :-)
We arrived mid afternoon and were quickly checked in by a very helpful receptionist Michelle who went out of her way to give us all the info about the hotel and she kindly booked us a table in the restaurant as we had been travelling all day and were starving, then we were allocated a beautiful room with balcony overlooking lough allen lake and the mountains beyond, truely stunning, a good size room with very comfortable kingsize bed, tv, tea making etc and lashings of hot water, perfect :-) The hotel is located in a lovely spot between 2 sets of beautiful mountains and with the shores of Lough Allen on your doorstep it really is a special place, we had dinner in the bar on our first evening which was lovely, a wide variation of dishes with something for everyone and keenly priced too, on our 2nd day we decided to extend our stay for an extra night as we still had things to do in the area and we were again greeted by Tracey this time at reception who we had encountered on our initial booking and again she was absolutely brilliant, she fixed us up with a super rate for the extra night, and she really did make our stay so enjoyable, All the staff were very friendly from the housekeeping to the waiting staff everyone was very courteous and helpful, the staff at this hotel truely are an asset to the place, breakfast on each morning was superb and set us up for the day, due to our commitments in the area we didnt get as much time there as we would have liked but that just gives us an excuse to return there again in the near future, a great hotel in a beautiful location with staff 2nd to none, 10 out of 10 to this hotel

Stayed here for two nights via a Groupon deal. Although our stay was not unpleasant and we had a reasonable break considering what it cost, we wouldn't rush back. The food menu is limited, the food service and quality is OK but nothing special. The rooms and decor are basic but reasonably clean. The surrounding area is barren to say the least so don't reckon on doing too much outside the hotel. Our kids did enjoy the Moorlands Equestrian Centre right next door which was 20 EUR for an hours lesson and trek. All in all an OK break for the money but we wouldn't rush back. The one big positive is the welcome at reception it was excellent.

My girlfriend and I stayed here over Easter for a change of scenery, we got our deal on groupon and I probably wouldn't go unless you got a great deal.
This was our first time in County Leitrim, there's not much to do here but it was nice and quiet and a nice change to the usual hustle and bustle.
The hotel was okay, clean enough and the staff at reception were lovely, the waiters could learn a few things from them because they were pretty lazy and forgetful.
The restaurant was pretty cold and the waiters forgot our food order, my rare steak was cooked well done and my side portion didn't arrive until dessert.
The bedroom was pretty average as well, not what I'd expect from a ramada hotel, more of a b&b, sporting a tv with 2 fuzzy channels. You'll also have to go to reception for wi-fi.
Overall the place was okay but I wouldn't rush back.

Stayed here for one night , not a lot going on in the local area so you really are reliant in the hotel for things to do and food . The drive in to the hotel has to be the most run down i have ever encountered. Rooms are basic with a comfy bed . The staff were lovely on check in . The bar is ok but is freezing cold with people coming in and out from the smoking area . The one thing that really let the hotel down was the food. Minimal menu with not much choice . I ordered steak with bernaise sauce but it came out covered in peppercorn sauce . I sent it back explaining that I didn't like peppercorn and 2 minutes later it was returned to me with bernaise sauce on top but peppercorn on the bottom where it had obviously been scraped off . Poor form in my opinion and the steak was only half eaten as each time i cut it you could see more and more peppercorn. The other halves salmon was the smallest piece of fish I have ever seen . Breakfast didnt fare much better with overdone bacon and sausages served buffet style . Overall wouldn't be on a rush back

I have just booked this hotel through Groupon UK and i just had to put pen to paper so to speak about how wonderful their reservation staff were and thats before i have even arrived at the place yet! Tracy the lady that did my reservation for me could not have been more welcoming, helpful and understanding. She went out of her way to accommodate us and helped me through the whole booking procedure from start to finish, explaining exactly the way the groupon system works etc which was a Godsend to me as this was my first time using Groupon, she is a total professional and credit to the hotel, Being in the hospitality business myself i realise how demanding members of the public can be and on this occasion i can only say what a pleasure this booking experience has been. as the old saying goes 'First impressions last' and i am looking forward to my stay here soon and will be back to review my experiences there.

Although not staying here we stopped for a late lunch/bar food. The food came well presented and one would expect freshly prepared/cooked. Overall food was of a reasonable quality although the salad that came with each meal looked a little tired/wilted. I had the fish & chips. The fish itself was of a chewy texture: not sure what type of fish, if it had been prepared from frozen or the the reason for its texture.
Overall not bad but not great value for bar food. €12.95 each F&C, or a Burger. €2.95 for coffee.
