Bank holiday Saturday saw the Music Festival at the Red Lion. A stage was set up in the garden. We arrived in good time to get seats and took folding chairs with us. The music started promptly with the Blues Bandits and Noel Mc Calla, (x Manfred Mann's Earthband) Sensational. People started streaming in from the start and continued to do so all day. Other bands included, Niki Alexander, Rubber Biscuit, and Coco. The Lion team headed by Ben and Charlotte put on a great selection of foods incuding barbecue, hog roast and Buster's famous Paella!!
A Festival atmosphere from the start this turned into an amazing event with dancing into the night.
I shall be looking forward to next year and booking this down as a Festival not to miss! One of the best events I have been to all year!!!

Difficult to find pub food on a Sunday Evening. The Red Lion was excellent with Harvey's wild Hop Ale plus other real ales. Lovely friendly service and ambience for the steak and kidney pudding, cheese board, apple pie/crumble and custard. real tastes of Kent.
we were shown the refurbished restaurant upstairs in the beams. The staff were very welcoming with a friendly service.
Food on a Sunday evening is not easy.

We sat outside in the large garden with our large woofer, supping a cold one and enjoying really good pub grub at very reasonable prices. What a way to spend a Monday afternoon! Staff are superb, food is fresh and the service is fab, can't fault it. p.s. they are having a hog roast this weekend with live bands and this will make for a lovely afternoon. Enjoy.

Today we visited this family/pet friendly country pub. The food was nice. We had a two course meal each. A traditional Sunday roast. Plenty of meat to acompany the veg and roast potatoes. There was plenty of desert to. Would go back and sample more of the menu. Friendly approachable staff.
