We attended a wedding and booked our room in February 2013 for the 31 August Wedding. The wedding was very good but we were very disappointed with our room which was very hot. The room was small and because it was in the roof also had a sloping ceiling. The en suite was also small but was even hotter. Just leaving the bedroom for the corridor you could feel the temperature change. I would also say that there were some stains on the quilt cover and a dead wasp in the bed. I can only describe the room as a broom cupboard.
I think £129 for the room was an insult it was worse than staying in a travel lodge. The reduced rate offered on complaining was still £107. My son also stayed and they had a better room so there are good rooms but how this 4 Star hotel can charge so much for the rooms on the second floor which are basically in the loft I do not understand. Room 222 should be avoided by all. If you have to stay in the hotel in this room I would ask for another room.More
