We found the Loup to be a first class hotel. We stayed in the Junior suite, which had a double bedroom & a separate sitting room both with full size TV. The room was newly renovated to a high standard. It was very clean & comfortable.
The Loup has a fantastic eatery, Le Volte - the locals use it regularly for special occasions, the food was fresh & local, the pasta was made on site & like nothing you can buy in the UK. The menu was helpfully provided in English, most staff spoke English, the waiters were very polite.
The location was a little isolated, it is up in the Aspinni Mountains (some 1.5km from the busy village Loiano with Shops) so car hire is necessary although we used the Hotels' own 1976 Triumph Spitfire to tour the area.
Notes: This hotel holds conferences. During our stay there was 2 weddings & 2 conferences, none of these intruded on out stay with only one night of dancing into the night, & only one afternoon was the pool busy.More
