The Cove is amazing. I had an incredible four day vacation there. The property is gorgeous. My villa was comfortable and just steps away from soft sand and crystal clear Caribbean water. The food at the Cove was so good. I ate fresh sushi everyday for lunch and the view of the beaches from the bar is intoxicating. Restaurant Freedom has a great menu. I loved the ginger fish. I recommend this resort to anyone looking for a first class resort so close to the East Coast.

I looked up this place through Tripadvisor because I have never been to Bahamas before. This place is definitely for travellers who are looking for a quiet, serene, secluded and a very private place. The hotel grounds are very special, particularly the layout of two stunning pristine beaches with the Sunset bar and infinity swimming pool between them and white houses spread out throughout the garden (this image will be remembered from all my travels). I really liked the minimalistic white interiors too. You can even borrow an art book in the reception. I did not know the resort was rebuilt by Sidney Torres before arriving. Learning that after few days in the resort and meeting him in person I realized why the job of redesigning the resort was so well done. Of course the rooms with sea view are most beautiful but the garden huts are are also few steps from the beach and reception. This place is definitely not for party goers unless they want to go to Harbour island every night or jet off back to Nassau (and I know the manager is able to arrange pretty much anything for a very demanding clientele). The things I missed in the resort and at the same time believe should be improved to make it even more comfortable are: blinds in rooms, clothes horse for towels and wet swimwear infront of the villas, minibar, a small shop with basic goodies, buffet breakfast (I personally prefer to be able to nib on several things for breakfast and served breakfast offers this only if you are a bigger company and share), perhaps evening specials in the restaurant to add variety. I believe they were already planning to work on some of these details. I would for sure come back to this resort. Its great also for kids as the beaches slope gradually, there is visibility from around the resort and the premises are guarded. Although in the end romantic souls will probably like the place the most. Great place to unwind and escape stress and sound/light pollution.
Further notes to Bahamas: dont stay in Nassau, it would be really waste not to go to the other islands; sorry to say I had a really bad experience with Bahamas air (repeated delays and cancelled flights), Pineapple air worked really well; go to Harbour island for sure - great restaurants, shops and The Pink Sands beach; be prepared to pay for exclusivity and privacy in this paradise.

We were here For twelve days in august 2014. The atmosphere was marvellous both during the day and the night. The rooms , which are furnished with an extremely good taste, are situated in a beautiful garden on the caribean sea with two wonderful white sand beaches. The staff is extremely kind and helpful and At the restaurant you eat very well. We highly recomend this resort.

My husband and I decided to go the the Cove Resort last week for my Birthday. It is only an hour flight to the Island. The water is so blue and truly beautiful. This resort is very relaxing. Gorgeous to look at! We had a King bed that was so cozy. We swam, slept, ate and relaxed for 3 nights. There is a catch-the food! EXTREMELY expensive and not that great. I was disappointed. I expected something more, the WOW factor for the food just was not there. I actually went to a restaurant off the resort, which is the only one around for miles and miles and this little place beat the resort out. I had Lobster, which was not offered at the resort and stone crabs, again not offered at the resort. The other food issue is that they do not change the menu everyday, it is changed every 3 days. For the money people spend to stay at this great place, they should really get a new chef and a new menu. They should have the WOW factor. I will go back again just because of how amazing the private beach is and the hammocks are tied up all over the resort to relax in. If you are looking for a party or a happy hour, don't come to my resort, this is for peace and quite kinda people. You must be in the mood to just breath and soak up the sun.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful

I just concluded a stay at The Cove and to put it in one word... Perfection. From the moment you lay foot on the carpet soft, palm tree lined, grounds you quickly realize this is not a mere place but more of a destination. The staff tend to you as friends at their home. The sun washes the beaches in a warmth perfect for re-energizing and reflection. The rooms are a mix of modern decor and wood grain allow the nature to play her role as the ultimate interior designer.

When you decide to enjoy a meal or two you get a dining experience not just a combination of ingredients on a plate. From breakfast to a late evening bite The Cove understands what a destination vs a place on a map is and shines in every way.

It's a simple, measured approach. It's perfection.

This hotel was such a nice find. It's really secluded and cozy. The rooms are nicely decorated and well maintained. The service is impeccable and the one restaurant is good enough to enjoy 3 meals a day. If you do take advantage of the complimentary bikes, plan on quite a workout going up and down the hills once you leave the property. Great for a romantic getaway!!
