Very inexpensive. Hotel is clean, safe, modern. Breakfast at 5E was a good deal if a bit sparse.
All staff spoke some english. But were not always as polite or helpful as they could have been.
The room was small and the weird bunk type over head was not a plus. I left with my head black & blue. And, I want a real bathroom, not a toilet closet, sink in the middle of the room and shower across the room!
The location was very convenient for touring all the WWII sites and had easy access to the town of Bayeaux.
All things considered, I won't say I'd never stay there again, but I'd be interested in other options. Please note this was a last minute choice and as such was ok.

Room Tip: Ask if they have a room without the bunk.

Clean, friendly atmosphere. A bit off the beaten track, but easy to find. If you don't speak French, some of the staff do speak a few words of English. (But learn French lazy!) Breakfast is modest & sufficient. Cereals, fresh bread with jam, honey or chocolate spread. Fresh coffee & juices. Staff are very welcoming.

Room is sort of like sleeping in an Ikea showroom- every bit of space is meticulously used. In spite of the small size of the rooms (with the blind drawn and the door shut, you might call it a pod rather than a room), everything you need is in there. The only downside in the design of the room is that there is no space for luggage - we ended up using the top bunk for this.

The room came with two towels, two plastic cups, bedding and that's about it. If you need a hair dryer, etc, much of this is on loan from the front reception desk.

Breakfast was much better than I was expecting for 4 euros - essentially a pretty comprehensive "continental".

As has been said already, this hotel is really only suited for those driving cars and is a good stopover location. If you really want to see Bayeux itself, i'd stay in town rather than at this Etap. Having said that, I was pretty impressed at the value of the Etap chain - you can't beat the price. It made me think I was staying at a hostel, but one designed for adults...spartan, well designed rooms, but with a lot more privacy than a hostel can offer.

Slightly out of town, though close to the main road. Rooms clean and functional, ideal for a quick overnight stay. Would definitely stay again !

The hotel is cheap and cheerful, Rooms are basic but clean. The hotel was out of the city and in a remote area. Ideal for a quick one night stop over. . . ok I am now writing nothing to make up 200 characters
